Looks sweet man! Way better than my spray can of engine enamel lol. But I wasn't going for super fancy, just wanted to protect the alum.

Has anyone ever fixed a timing chain over leak on a 3rz? My leak has gotten progressively worse and now is leaving dime sized spots on the driveway after each park.

Wow, looks good. Your paint looks great. Makes my oxidized paint look terrible.

Don’t be fooled, the roof is shot. I’m planning a full repaint next year. Just have to find somewhere that I trust shooting black paint. The fresh grille and headlamps really made a complete difference. I’m honestly amazed and catch myself just staring. Even the wife and her friend noticed!

Yeah. I have to figure out how I'm going to save my paint. Its not too far gone just really "flat" looking.

I actually wet sanded and polished everything except the roof about a year ago. It helped a lot with the “flat” oxidation but, it still needs a repaint. I’m also pretty religious about waxing it every three to four weeks and keeping it regularly rinsed off. But once it gets to a certain point there not much that can be done. There’s a lot of little stuff here and there that needs addressed. It came from NE so there’s rust here and there that will require body panels replaced. That’s why it’s next years project. Good enough for now.

Anyone know any good options for diff skids for us 1st gens?

I see Low Range has a little guard for the e-locker. But wondering if there are any options for diff skid WITH guard for an e-locker.

I know BAMF had a popular one but they stopped making it a couple years ago. Might just have to be one of those custom fab things now.

I toyed with the idea of doing one last year cause I mangled the diff drain plug on rocks more than a couple times, but decided I didn't want to lose even more clearance there with a skid. Just trying to pick my lines a little more carefully lol.

Reshaping the raised edge around the drain plug with a dremel so I could get it off was fun though

So the last time I greased my front drive shaft was probably 30,000 miles ago.

Well I had a surprise when I went to grease them 2 weeks ago.

BOTH UNJOINTS were missing their zerks. Completely gone, WTF.

So after 625,000 miles on the drive shaft and U-Joints I decided it
was time for a new spicer drive shaft AND the new u-joints are sealed,
So NO greasing the u-joints any more for the front :)

    270.00 shipped

    Best diff skid -

cut off the stupid low hanging drain plug, weld some plate on the bottom. It's nearly free and you gain ground clearance. I really don't think an elocker guard is necessary.

How do you drain it now? With a hand pump through the fill plug?
