Wow. That's very nice ! I didn't know a wrap job could look so nice! Great color choice. I was just thinking that if I painted my second gen, it would be an army green. Great minds think alike!

Also sometime in the past few days I noticed all of the nylon inserts on my tailgate were stripped. I replaced them all with nutserts and machine screws the day before yesterday. Much more solid option, especially if I decide to get a steel plate reinforcement from Relentless down the road.

Yeah, it's kinda like routine maintenance now. Mine were quiet for the same (about 4 months). I was like "what's everyone complaining about? Mine don't squeak." Then it started:rofl:
I just spray white lithium grease in between the leaves now about every 4 months or so:thumbsup:

Made more progress on my first half door. There really isn’t too much to this process. It’s taken me about 4 hours Of work to get to this point.

Are you making them "quick disconnect" like on a Jeep, or will you have to unbolt the hinges when you swap them on?

That doesn't seem like it's too bad getting them off at all. I built some tube doors for an Old Cherokee that I had and loved them offroad. You could damn near hang out far enough to look under neath it while still in the driver seat.

Quick comment on sliders. I don't have them on my 2007 but my buddy does on his 2019. I can't say I liked them. If I stood on them, I was too high up and had to lean over in order to get in the truck.

I'd strongly suggest finding someone who has them, or maybe visiting an auto dealer, and seeing if you like them. I think whether you like them or not totally depends on how tall or short you are.

BTW, the coolest sliders I've ever seen were on a Cadillac SUV. They actually slid out from under the car electronically when the owner disabled the car alarm and automatically retracted when the car was put in gear. It was a "Star Trek" kind of thing!

sliders are different from side steps, idk if you know but judging by your last line it doesn't seem so. If i'm wrong my bad for assuming. I can definitely agree on your point about them being too high up to use for stepping for some designs. and I imagine the angled ones are even less useful as a step. That being said, I feel like even my OEM running/nerf bars are still pretty high once you're on them, they just provide a lower point to step on.

But sliders are bolt or weld/on that attach to the frame, not the cab like sidesteps do. They are also usually made of thicker steel and built stronger, to support the full weight of the cab in the event of a high center event offroading, or as another jack point

with side steps, they aren't strong enough to be used for either of those purposes, and as they are bolted to the cab, puttin weight on them can cause serious damage to your rocker panels.

I had to learn this lesson myself (luckily not the hard way) as I had ordered NFab RKR Rails with the detachable side steps thinking they could be used as sliders, then was educated. Now I'm canceling my order and getting suspension parts instead because i really don't do too much hardcore offroading yet that would warrant slider protections.

I think you are confusing sliders with actual steps/running boards.

When I'm not confusing sliders with running boards, I spent the day installing a Pioneer DMH-2660 NEX head unit in my 2007 taco. Got Bluetooth calling along with Car Play and Android Auto (wired, not wireless). Really happy with how it turned out.
