So last time I went to a self car wash with my mitt, bucket, towels, etc. I was kicked out by the owner for taking too long.

I am wondering if anybody knows of some good places to go to wash/wax/vacuum your truck in the Portland area? I unfortunately don’t have a driveway, and I was hoping someone in the same boat as me would know a good spot for self detailing. Or am I being over the top and should just use the car wash brushes? Or just use the touch less car washes?

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Don't really know Portland washes that well, but around here, most of the car washes alow buckets and mitt's if no one is waiting. I would think you would be fine if you went early in the morning.:notsure: Unfortunately, I understand the whole getting kicked out of the car wash. I was kicked out of one for having to dirty of a truck.

I guess I’ll just have to go earlier. Or make friends with somebody who has a driveway.

I will admit that when I got kicked out it was like 11am and there were people waiting....

I'll just add on to this thread because it is related. Anyone know a good place to knock a bunch of mud off on the east side? I don't want to be a jerk to local business, I'm actually looking for places that have a decent tolerance for mud in their business model.

And OP, if you are on the east side and not covered in mud you can stop by my driveway just drop me a PM. The pressure washer I just got is weaker than expected so it should be perfect for washing trucks.

Most descent apartment complexes have at least one wash station. Take your wash kit and find one of these complexes and have at it. I did this for years with no issues.

I live on the East Side! I may just have to take you up on this. After the next week and a half of rain....

As far as mud, I don’t wheel hard so no problems there. But also I don’t really have any good suggestions for getting your mud off. Except the Astro washes. They seem super busy, but there’s never an attendant and the floor drains seem pretty good.
