    Hi Friends,

I bought the Prinsu rack for my Taco a long time ago but only recently got around to installing it. Install went fine, but when reapplying the roof trim I had issues. I used 3M double-sided tape but it just did not adhere well and stay on. Should I have used a thicker foam-based double-sided tape?

The interior sections are fine, but I lost one of the two front sections when driving (the other side is popping up) and the rear sections are popping up as well. Posting pics for reference, thanks for the assist.

Thicker two sided tape would’ve helped. Also clean the channels with isopropyl alcohol to get rid of dirt and residues will help it stick better.

I cleaned it pretty good. Guess I'll try to find some double-sided, thicker tape. Any suggestions on finding new trim for the truck?

most of the popular racks have you put the trim back in, you may have to source some on google, order some oem pieces. Or you can bump your post count up to 50 and post a want to buy thread one the buy sell trade section.

When I had my Prinsu wind noise maker on, I used a few dobs of clear silicone to hold the weather strip in place.

When I installed my roof rack I drilled out 3/4 inch holes where the spacers went and also used foam two sided tape. A the front even if it did come loose it would still be held by the spacer. As the back portion of the trim was never removed during the installation, nothing has moved back there either.
