Not a thing wrong with one account for the long term retirement stuff and another account / broker for the short term play-the-market gambling money.

 

I have 4.

401k. Roth Ira. General investing which is after the Roth is filled for the year and whatever slow and boring. And then monopoly money. When I leave my current job I'll have a 5th, traditional Ira as the 401k will roll into that since the maintenance fees will be lesser.

 

Well, good news chaps, my 401k is back to where it was February 19th as of yesterday's close. That does include contributions between then and now, though, which are not insignificant in that, BUUT we're back.

Bought that yesterday AFTER close. Up 115% before market open.
Never seen anything like it. Doubled my money between closing and opening bells? That's crazy talk!

My restructuring to an unrecovered banking heavy fund is paying off as it recovers...50% of my 401K is up 7.9% in 5 days...

 

If it opens at $9.30 the immediate stop loss is going in...I'll take 35% in one day...

 

From my sells Monday, I have 6K to invest. Where to put it? I’m thinking mostly NRGU and a healthy portion in CCXX

Depends on your goal. There's some wishy washy about if NRGU is right since it's a 3x leveraged ETF. You can invest in the fund constituents though, too, like XOM etc. Anyone still in FUN? I bailed out a while back.

Big swings in either direction usually result in 15min suspensions. Happened a couple of times yesterday.
CIDM is even crazier. Up 240% in after hours, it's now up 350% from when I bought it after hours yesterday.

 

Well that was fun. I just made $1500 on them in 15 minutes. My broker will give me a day trade warning but it was worth it. lol

 

I understand how it works, I’m saying it’s out of control. Everyone eager to get on the train.

 

Funny enough, the speed of the train is scaring me
I'm watching it like a hawk expecting it to jump the rails any second.

 

the poor fellas that got in at 11.50 are now sweating hard hoping it goes up again.

 

At that point just ditch now. Take your donuts and go home, and don't be sad that the donut truck showed up with more donuts right as you're leaving the donut store. You still got your donuts.
