Yeah I’m O negative too and they love my blood. Give every chance I can except the year I went to Haiti.

yes O neg is used in hospitals too in emergency rooms, and it’s used in labor and delivery for newborns. It’s the universal blood type so anyone that needs blood but doesn’t have time for testing gets it. It’s also needed by people who have O neg because we can’t receive anything else haha. Most other blood types can receive one or two other types other than their own type safely, but O neg is only O neg. Fun fact, AB positive can receive any blood type. And if I remember correctly, A+ is the rarest type, kudos for that

I ordered mine just in time I guess. I got a large pair a week ago directly from POC. You could always go with the geriatric brown version, looks like those ones are still in stock.

Starting to get this one dialed in. It’s a ripper for sure.

I was also razzed by a friend for taking the first photo of the Moxie into the sun with the seat post up, so I got this one slightly better.

I don’t give blood much, so I’m not really sure. I just have blood to get the antibody test, but I’m 7 years out, but I think I could have given blood at 5 years.

The wife and I tried to donate but we got turned away by the blood wagon that comes by our work twice/month when they asked for history (I guess living close-ish to Fukushima when the reactor went was not so cool?).

Mountain biker here, in the market for a mid-size truck in the near future and obviously the Tacoma is high up on the list. One thing I am hung up on is the bed size. I've scrolled through a bunch of pictures in this thread and it seems like the majority of you guys have the short 5-foot box. Do you guys find that sufficient for mountain biking purposes? I have a large 29er and i doubt it would fit into the 5 foot bed with the front wheel removed (if so, it would barely fit) and even with it thrown over the tailgate pad the bike still looks like it would cover 80% of the length of the bed, leaving very little room for gear and other stuff if you are going on a bit of a road trip. Right now I am dead set on getting the 6 foot box but wondering if you guys could provide any insight as to whether the 5 ft box is totally sufficient? Thanks in advance!

If I could have gotten the same deal on a long bed as I got on my short bed I would have done it. Long beds were just hard to find in my area. With that said I don’t think it’s a huge deal. I’ve got a low bed rack with roof top tent which doesn’t let me use the bed for anything but storage (changing that this weekend) so I use a hitch rack which I prefer at this point.

The short box can work. If you’re gut is leaning towards the 6’ bed then don’t compromise, get the long bed. Some days I regret downsizing to the the SB.

Yes bikes take up a lot of bed space. An alternative to this issue would be the Latch-It Rack as I have attached. This easily installed solution allows more than an extra foot of cargo space in the bed.
