Riddle me this, why is it if I want to print something in black and white that I can't if the magenta cartridge is empty?

i'm thinkin about just because I've gone 2 months without a haircut. With the beard I'm workin with, I'm a garbage bag and a couple teeth from looking like security is going to get rid of me

Because printers use the colored inks to print black and white.

So I put in white paper and black ink, why come I need magenta for black ink on white paper?

 

Now i just look less approachable, which is a good thing because I don't want people approaching me.

 

Because it makes for a much deeper black, and how else is the Office Depot next to us supposed to stay in business if you don't have to constantly buy colored ink for black and white printing

That's what I grew up in and yup had god dam mullet.
