Everyone's "truck uses/needs" are different. I use my truck as a truck a lot as well and often feel limited by the 6' bed. Truthfully, my van was the best truck I've ever owned!

@Tulumben you gotta think about your own needs. Are you gonna have more than two bikes plus camping/road trip gear regularly? If so, you'll probably want the long bed or plan on putting the bikes on a rack. Do you plan to go hard off roading a lot or hate maneuvering a big truck in parking lots? Then you probably want the short-bed (or, if you don't have friends, ACLB!!!).

I'm feeling a bit eConfused lately :help:. I don't like eBikers, but like riding eBikes (now):cookiemonster:. My wife rides one, and I like her... Her Decoy 29 is stupid fun, and if ridden responsibly there's no reason it doesn't belong on normal trails. But most eBike riders are such tools :annoyed:. But when I ride it, I don't think I'm a tool. Or am I :goingcrazy:? I mean, I don't want to replace my analog bike. I just want to ride one when I feel like a long adventure, or lapping the steep ass climbs on the steep ass downhills :bikewheelie2:. My brain hurts :bananadead:.

Nice. I’ll look into those. 38lb sounds pretty light.

I'm with you. After having ridden a few E-bikes, I don't have as much dislike towards the bike. But then I go ride corner canyon where they are prolific and realize most of my disdain falls to their asshat riders (painted with a broad bush admittedly). I'd view it more as a tool in lieu of shuttle laps if I were to buy one, and cut out the truck portion of the equation.

Unpopular opinion here, but if it's fun for you... f*ck it, let 'er rip, taterchip! I've asked a few friends about it and the general consensus is "DON'T F*CKING JACK STRAVA KOMS WITH IT, YOU TOOL", but otherwise nobody cares outside of the purists. I still don't really understand the hate, but whatevs, ignorance is bliss, LOL

    not enough.
yeah. I share this sentiment. It comes down to most of the riders i've seen. They're asshats with no trail etiquette.

What MTB specific shoes are y’all wearing?! I was told the soles material really grabs flat pedals and make a huge difference. Input?

Ok ok. Any knowledge on the etnies? I like the look of those best, but the five tens are sick too.

@BamaTaco56 I think has Etnies, he also was surprised how much difference the shoes make.

5.10 are just sort of the "kings" of the mtb world it seems to me...

I have the Etnies Mariana crank and like them pretty well. First pair of MTB shoes do I can’t comment on how they compare.

I pretty much only wore etnies in my BMX days, they were amazing. But modern day, no experience

Ok cool. I’ve been rocking my high top vans. And if you know vans, they’re pretty soft lol. I find that I’m constantly adjusting my foot position

5.10 Freeriders all day long. But I will say some of the RC shoes make me think about branching out.

Loam wolf just did a review of the etnies.

    https://theloamwolf.com/2020/06/03/review-etnies-marana-mid-crank-mtb-shoe/

I used to ride tevas when they made mtb shoes. They were good for general riding and BMX but they weren’t enough for trail riding. Not bad though. It really just depends on preference as most bike stuff is haha

Awesome. Thank you for that link. That sets me on the five tens. They said roughly 70% grip compared to five tens so I’ll go that direction.
    Thanks guys

+1 on Five Tens. Not only the sole material grabbing flat pedals but so much less foot fatigue with a stiffer shoe
