Definitely try a different battery first. Try also making sure there is no lint inside the fob. lastly, you can spray the inside of the fob with CRC QD contact cleaner and wipe the battery contacts with a Q Tip, then let it dry out really good.

Also, I wonder where the antenna is in the truck? You think installing the radio moved or blocked that?

No, the new GMRS radio. When you ran that antenna wire it's possible it is next to the fob antenna wire which I suspect is just a short, single strand wrapped wire.

If the two are now side by side the signal might be affected. Just seems very odd that besides the range decreasing the touch to open feature is also barely working.
I wonder if you need to reprogram the key fob which would be a first hearing that for me, just replacing the battery.

Oh that's right, and you have the AJT fob, which I also had and never had a problem with. I gave it to @pdenajim since it was orange and I want a blue one. However, I can't get one with TRD on the back anymore so.........I'm boycotting.

Just be aware of what can drain the remote battery rapidly:

    Remote1.jpg

There is a way to put the remote in sleep mode, to conserve the battery:

Good to know. I'll change the battery and stick it on a meter and see what the voltage is. Hopefully that's all it is. Thanks man!

Since I removed the OEM bumper assembly & frame hitch and installed the Offroad bumper I now have a slight rake. I'm hoping that the swing out attachment will even it out.
