In etnies defense that’s still a good amount of grip haha. But you can’t go wrong with five tens.

I have had three 6’ Tacomas over the years and have mountain biked all of them. My size large 27.5 rm altitude fits in laying down and a little sideways. I normally don’t travel with it like that but I’ll do it sometimes for a quickie. I do a ton of home improvement projects and the “extra” space is well used. I also camp a lot with my wife and kiddos and I fill it to the brim with bullshit every time. Another factor for me was my truck bed had to carry my surf boards. You could do it with a 5’ but you have to get a hitch rack if you want to retain any usable bed space.

Man, its amazing how much geometry has changed in the past few years. Rode my 2016 Bronson again today after retaping the back tire, and between the enduro geometry and the overforked front end, I almost felt the same way you do when you lean back in your chair a little too far. Then I took the dog for a lap around the block on my sentinel. Its disgusting how bad that SC is in comparison, and I always wondered why I sucked so bad on the climbs...

I think the Bronson is a particularly bad example though. I’ve heard it’s a pig unless it’s pointed South.

I love technology and modern geo too!

I let a guy ride my 2108 RM Altitude yesterday and I rode his Ghost XC 29er hardtail with a 100mm stem on it. I immediately noticed a loss in traction except on the flats going uphill. When I pointed the hardtail downhill I almost went over the bars trying to go slow on an intermediate tech section.

Wheel builder just sent me a pic of my new wheels before shipping. I debated on color but after seeing that green I’m stoked!

So I've had the idea knocking around for a while, but after seeing a Porsche GT2RS like this in Park City last weekend, I'm almost sold on the idea of handing my Stache to Tec-Gnar for a paint up in British Racing Green. My bottle cages are already painted bronze, I and have TREK badging and deity bars in bronze to match. It'd be perfect.

The LBS is giving me a great deal but the only color I can get is the gloss purple phaze / matte carbon. Not my first choice but the price is right and the bike is nice. What do you guys think.

I love it, but I have a thing for purple. I've seen one at our local trek store in that flavor, and it's better in person. It's one of those "hard to photograph well" schemes.

The step from 8 to 9.8 is worth it by itself if you're getting a haircut on the price, esp with demand being what it is these days.

    I like it.
But thats coming from someone who has had just about every color bike available. And currently rocks a bright pink bike / snow camo bike / carbon and purple etc. You don’t have to be the fastest guy when you have the loudest bike out, but if you still go full send no one can talk shit.
