yeah when you do it yourself you run the risk of getting the dreaded Bubble effect. At least with the guy i had do mine, if i had any bubbling, he said he would replace the window that was bubbled and do it for free.

When I was younger we would get tint from autozone and cut it to fit. Cheap but you need to take your time. To match front to back go with 20% on the front. That is just for reference. 35% would be light but it is your call, the percent signifies how much sunlight is allowed to pass through and into your cab. Our trucks allow a lot of light through the windshields, I think 20% in front and maybe 35% on the rest. Don't forget a Strip on your windshield, I always use 5% for the strip.

To do it youself you need to wet the shit out of the outside of your window and put the tint on there to cut it to fit. Remember put it on the Passenger side and cut for the drivers window and vice versa. Personaly I would pay someone to do the truck it will take hours to get a good job. JMHO

This is 5% all the way around.

When you cut it to fit put it on the passenger outside, cut it then remove the protective film and install on the inside of the drivers window. I always put the clear side on the pass. window to cut.

I would let someone do it for you, pay to have it done. That way you will get a warranty on the work done. DIY and you get no warranty, nothing if you tear or scratch the tint well.

I had a local guy do mine up here in Portland, for $85 and he guaranteed all the work, but that was on my 4runner. Here is the best picture I have.

We did tint on the back windows of my husbands Previa years ago (it's long gone now), but it turned out fairly well considering it was our first time doing it. As long as you have alot of patience, it can turn out well. The two windows we did were pretty big, so it was a rather, um.... interesting to do, but it worked well since we were careful and took our time. Or at least I was--he does NOT have that kind of patience...lol!

I paid $50 to have 22% put on the front two windows and a 5% strip on the windshield. Matched up great.
