I am new to the forum and to the truck "world". I own a 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4. I have done minor mods and looking to make the next step by lifting it. I am looking for around a 2.5" lift and to level out the truck. I am wanting to get more clearance with my 33's. I am wanting something with a good ride quality sticking in the budget of $2,000 MAX. I have looked into the 6112/5160 and just looking for experience, recommendations, or even more knowledge on what is all needed in order to accomplish this.

I dont think King's are within a $2k budget though, their the best but their also really expensive.

    Link: https://www.runnin4tacos.com/collec...05-2020-tacoma-mid-travel-suspension-kit-king

Stage 3.0 on that site is $3,843.65

Like the old phrase goes "Cry once and never cry agian", which means to pony up for the good stuff once that way you dont have to cry when you buy the cheap stuff and then have to buy the good stuff when you want to upgrade later on.

    You shouldn't be rubbing with 265 75 16. It is a 31.6" and I'm running the same.

Now that is out of the way check put the linked suspension side of TW. Lots of info. I've heard nothing but good things about the 6112/5160 setup. Some companies offer a 1 stop shop package at a competitive price.

Look into how bilstein is valved vs other options. You might not like how it handles and may turn to something else in your budget (fox, king & ads maybe) or radflo.

I have no rub but the clearance from the tire to the fender is to narrow and it can rub when having to flex out the suspension

What exactly do you need out of your suspension? Daily driving on pavement? Weekend warrior? Offroad most of the time? Lots of factors make the “best” suspension for what you “need”

I went with an icon stage 2 kit, nice complete package for around your budget. Some people on this site don’t like icon and point to some qc issues but I’ve had mine on for over a year with nothing but good times. eventually you’ll probably want to upgrade the UCAs for another $600-$1000.

I’ve been very pleased with my icons as well - 30k miles and no issues.

I never said that I liked the guy, heck hes probably a douchebag because he never responds to me when I post messages or questions on his Facebook page or on his YouTube videos but his videos are sometimes entertaining and give people ideas for their trucks. I know that watching the King shocks in action in the go fast camper video really made me appreciate how well they handle rough terrain.
