Tacoma Owner Nightmares

You spend all day searching for the perfect campsite. Getting to it requires using 4-lo and your locker, and you scrape your diff for five minutes through a bunch of ruts. You save it in Gaia and plan to come back the following weekend. When you arrive Friday night you find a family in a Subaru Outback has already set up camp.

 

You buy a TRD Pro, fit Kings, 35s, and armor all around. Your friend with a stock Rubicon goes everywhere you do and has to snatch you at least once every trip.

 

You're dying to upgrade suspension, but cant stand replacing good parts. 105k later and your suspension is still good

You look back at your cool, modded, DCSB truck and think “It doesnt look like a mom car....right?”

 

You search the internet for months for a cavalry blue access cab. You finally find one three states over and fly out to purchase it sight unseen. With visions of moab and baja in your head you order a lift kit, skids, and sliders. You come home one day and find your wife has replaced the sliders with predator steps because "it's too hard to get in and out of". The only thing that ever goes in the bed is an antique wardrobe she found at a store downtown.

 

Lol. One of these days you figure out that it's 90% driver, 10% vehicle.
I drove my Tacoma hard out to the middle of nowhere, where I saw a 1979 Olds Cutlass that a guy had no problems driving to the same location. It's all about the driver guys. Face it and feel embarrassed. Don't blame the truck, go get driving lessons.

My dad took our whole family fishing all over the place in an old ford station wagon. That’s 6 kids my mom and my dad with all our gear. My old man managed to 4 wheel that piece of shit to places 4x4 people dream about.
