Suddenly I like my 1st gen tie rod setup.

 

I definitely feel the tie rod location in 2nd gens is an easy target for anything, but, where the hell else they gonna put it?! lol

It is always a wet, soppy mud hole that is rarely cared for.


For a while, if you didnt have 37's or bigger, you couldnt even get too far past the hut. At one time, it was suggested you have at least 40's.


Rutted out, redneck haven. You can sometimes grab extra traction from all the debris that has dumped out over the years as people have flipped over and not cleaned up.


Supposedly, management got a bunch of shit because they lifeline at least 5 people a year out. Typically have at least one death a year.

So they added some MX features and cleaned it up to hold events.

 

It’s a poor design for sure.

 

They’ve cleaned it up since I was last here, but there’s still too much garbage.

 

If your needing inner tie rods don’t expect to just go get them,,, even from the dealer.

 

I’ll have two lightly used inner tie rods coming off my truck soon. The new power steering rack I bought came with them and the ones on my truck now are Moog brand and less than 6 months old. If someone wants them, just let me know.

 

How much delivered to Haspin Acres?

Other than Haspin and the Red river gorge is there anything that's very mild? I just got a 2020 and would like take it Out with the family and leanr the truck

 

Are those stamped 555? I haven't researched tie-rod ends yet to know what's best to get.

 

I'm surprised there isnt a part number from GM that would work.
