After driving down the bling bling isle at Pep Boys and cleaning the shelves, you find out your card is declined and all you can get is a key chain.

And, you have to seek counseling for rock chips after buying a 4x4 Off Road Vehicle.

You've owned cars your entire life. But recently, you purchased a truck because it's finally time to become a man. It's a Toyota Tacoma. You love it! It has all the bells and whistles that a former car guy, like yourself, has always wanted. But you're a truck guy now. You're a man! You buy all the best gear with the intention of off-roading and camping at every opportunity available. You prepare yourself, check your gear once, then check it twice, until finally, you're on the trail. You find a beautiful spot right next to the lake, and getting there was easy. You're a real off-road driver now. Hell yeah! It's time to set up camp. This is it! You're doing man shit! You crank some good tunes and begin to unload. You stare at your tent, but nothing happens. Confused, you decide to gather firewood. And you gather ALL the firewood. "Let's light this bitch up!" You stack it perfectly, but nothing is happening. No flame at all. Back to the tent it is, but the tent is still just laying there, motionless. "WTF?! Do I have to do EVERYTHING?!", you say aloud. You're alone. You become agitated, then nervous, and then afraid. You wonder how you will ever survive without a fire or shelter? "What if a fish tries to bite me while I sleep?!", you ask yourself. "Who knew that being a man was so hard?" You begin to panic. You're pacing back and forth between the tent and the firewood. You remember how simple life was driving a car, on pavement, in the city. Tears begin to roll down your cheeks. You scream!!!!... And that's when you wake up, sweating. You jump out of bed and look out of the window. Phew! Your car is still there. And that's when you realize that it was only a dream... and that you'll never be a man.

    Minor stuff.
You leave work and when you reach your truck, you see someone vandalized it with chrome badges and decals from one of the big box auto stores.

Prior to getting my first Toyota (85 extra-cab) I learned to 4-wheel in the Colorado mountains in an 85 Honda Civic wagon (4x4, low range).. It was always funny to get to the top of some offroad mountain pass where a group of guys in lifted Jeeps were high-fiving each other and deflate their whole mood as I drove by in a Civic
Taught me a LOT about tire placement and picking the right line.

I have a 4Runner nightmare cuz I saw it this morning at the grocery store.

You spend 50Gs on a white 5th Gen 4Runner, lift, Prinsu Rack, and the SEMA wheels, come out of the store to find two IDENTICAL 4Runners parked next to you. #SafetyInNumbers.

You replace your tires at 20k miles because "the stock tires suck", not because the look of your new wild peaks gives you a half chub.

Why does my ride shake while going down the highway? I already know it has nothing to do with my lift, wheels, or tires...

When you put $2k down to order a TRD Pro and spend $13k in credit card debt for mods you saw on Instagram, and the only people in town that notice are 4 year old kids that call it a Tonka truck.

When you buy a Tacoma and up-fit it for over-landing and months later decide to buy a travel trailer. Despite the struggles towing it home people tell you all will be fine as soon as you get a tune and some airbags, which you do only to find the truck is getting passed by Karen in a Subaru Outback on her way to the Wisconsin Dells for a weekend with the girls.

Karen rented a cabin on the lake and was three glasses of wine into her weekend hours before you even arrived at your campsite.

    Looking good and proper!

Those Firestones are wearing good? My Toyos were toast at 25k. Good thing / bad thing.

Bought a 2019 to haul stuff and do man stuff cause no truck. But then decide to buy a first gen because you don’t want to ruin your new truck. DD the first gen and enjoy it more than the third gen.
