Ok so here's a flush install with the premium bezel. On the fence about whether it's better than my milled out bezel or not.

Whatever u did in the first post seems to fit more true to the corners and snugger than this. Which is which? One the oe and one a purchased insert?

This one is the OEM premium bezel. The other one is a standard bezel that I milled out to fit.

Both look 10x better than having a 6” screen and a ugly ass dash kit.

When you say the premium bezel you mean the bezel that comes with the premium stock radio aka the jbl stock radio? I have a stock 2017 jbl setup.

Yes the most recent picture is with a completely unmodified bezel for the JBL/Premium factory radio. My original pictures are with a standard bezel that I milled to size.

Well then. Looks like I might end up selling my avic8500nex. Does this model come with Nav?

Bummer... I just saw that you can't play CDs on it and I like to play my DVDs through the unit.

You have to use AA or CP for Nav

Okay that's what I was reading is where you had the basically use Google Maps through the deck unlike other makers out there that do have the navigation built into the setup.

So jailbreak you phone or the unit? Looks great BTW! Did you over ride the parking break?

Not yet im hoping to jailbreak or Unlock the headunit! I've got a unique issue where my vehicle Speed sensor wire isn't working right so im gonna try to fix that and be able to watch movies on the screen by jail breaking or unlocking the headunit!

If you were to measure the actual viewing area, the LED, not the black border, is it closer to 7.5"-8" ?

I fail to see the issue. :D

Although I installed a parking brake bypass but YouTube won’t play while in motion. Guess it’s not working.

    Pretty much 8.5”

It's 9 inches. Was hard to hold the ruler in the exact spot.

I just measured straight across. Wasn’t even thinking about corner to corner.

Yeah screens are typically measured diagonally.
