Took a good enough hit to drop the driveshaft.

    That sucks man.
Finding the right person takes time.
It’s a nice ride with a lot of good stuff.
Not sure how bad your situation is maybe selling off what you can would get you a better deal. Or the same deal plus what get for some extras.
Not sure if this has been said already?

Sorry man seems you’ve put some love into it.

So why are you selling it after putting all that work into it?

I will tell you one thing, I will never buy a rebuilt title vehicle ever again, not because they're bad vehicles per se, but because the resale value is so bad, the "savings" so got by buying it in the first place go out the window.

    Good luck

It's hard to see the rear axle off at such an angle...no wonder the drive shaft is dragging on the ground.

If OP can find a buyer who

    1) appreciates and wanted all the mods anyway
    2) is satisfied with the repairs
    3) plans to keep it 'til it dies, and not as a quick turn around for a buck
    4) can agree on a fair price

    A sale can be made.

He may make more money taking the truck back to stock, and selling the aftermarket parts individually. Just a thought.

After reading all the comments I've come to understand that I should sell my truck in an area where these are in high demand and where people wont care much for the rebuilt title. I think I will be posting it for sale soon with a fair price. Salvage vehicles are a great option for the right person, the only way I could have afforded this truck anyway. Thanks to everyone for your feedback. If someone is genuinely interested in buying it let me know.

To offer a buyer's perspective, I recently purchased my 2014 with a rebuilt title and 125k miles. This was the damage:IMG_9355.jpg
Nothing structural, and everything was repaired properly.

I paid 12k for the truck, tax title and inspection once it was completed. Regardless of the price, someone will always think it's too high or too low but similar clean title trucks were going for 20k+ in my area and I felt good about the deal.

Add on's will get you next too nothing,a salvage title will turn off about 85% of the buyers.Ask 18k and go from there.

How much to fix? And did your insurance allow you to get full coverage? Or just liability on the salvage title? Or was that 12k repaired?

Your best bet is to sell your upgrades separately and sell the truck stock via private party to get the most money out of it

It was 12k with everything repaired. They allowed full coverage, but would only cover 1/2 the value for a rebuilt title. I bet there’s a way to get coverage for a certain dollar amount though

So your paying for full coverage to only receive half of the 12k should you wreck it? If so that’s a 6k loss right out the gate.

I agree with @coopcooper, with the mods on it. Like others have said, I think your best bet money-wise may be to part out the mods and sell the truck stock.

I didn't get full coverage for that exact reason, was just curious if they would offer it. They said they would pay out half the value of a comparable clean title truck, not what I paid for mine. While that still wouldn't fully cover me, it would be much better than the 6k haha

I was curious how that would work. Then that wouldn’t be to bad.

It's hard to say without seeing the damage, but I have a lot of experience with rebuilt titles and if it was repaired correctly then the value lost is probably around 20%. I've never had a problem getting full insurance coverage on a branded vehicle, but that might vary by provider. It seems every time one of these pops up here there are bunch of dudes saying it's worthless. Those folks either don't have any experience with this, or they bought a rig that was severely devalued by a janky repair job. But it is true that you won't get back all of the money you put into the mods. Either return it to stock and sell those separately, or just accept that most of the mod money is a sunk cost. Just list it for what you want to get out of it and see what people start offering. You can always say no.

When I purchased my truck it had very similar damage. I think its really worth doing if you know what you are doing.
