It will likely need to be cleaned and rebuilt.

You wouldn't be selling that 1" body lift if you knew how much easier life is with it on the truck and finishing a job with unscathed hands. :anonymous:

Are the manual transmissions bulkier that the automatic? I don't feel like I had a hard time getting the top bolts before, but they're 10x easier now. I go in through the wheel well and remove the intermediate steering shaft on the driver's side to make it easier there.

I got small hands. I’m not a really big dood at all so yeah. Biggest problem I ha e is my damn t-Rex arms

I can actually get those bolts out from the top. Not sure if it’s because of the supercharger but I can do it. If I have 2 people it’s easy. On to guide the socket into the bolts and the other underneath with impact to remove and it’s really easy.

Oh supercharger. Yeah 2 people is less stressful when one holds the socket in place and the other breaks it loose. I can't remember how many times I've had all the blood run out of my arms, a good sign it's time for a beer break, and get so frustrated just trying to get a good purchase on the bolt head. Going in from the top of the engine isnt bad at all if you have a flex head ratchet with about a 18" handle.

I need to hit the research cave and make sure I get my bleed line in the right spot on the hydro before I tighten everything down and oriented.

once the socket is on the bolt head there is amazingly a good amount of room for a ratchet when going from the top.

Went out to Friday Harbor, WA last week. Still plenty of good spots on the ferry! Had the entire port side to myself.

Why is it such a pain in the dick to get the tcase shifter offset right? :annoyed::bananadead:

I tack it, check it, adjust, tack check bingo. Weld it up put it back in and then it like I'm back to square one again. I tried to anticipate the exaggerated pattern since it's not moving in a J pattern directly above where the shifter normally would be. I'm either over thinking it or :notsure:.

    IMG_20200606_074003.jpg

That nut just above the green tcase is currently in the 4hi position and to the right as if you were getting ready to proceed forward to neutral and then 4lo.

Seeing as you're a mechanic, and knee pads are probably used often, probably only a matter of time before you kneel down to check out what heat soaked shit show you're working with and BAM! on the ground you go
