I got a dash cam. But have used it enough the Anker one that it's about time to upgrade in thinking the Garmin mini one? Either way I'm doing front and back. Sadly the police didn't do anything. Even when I was like oh I got this on dash camera. Not even an ID.. nice to see though you can drive around with a car that illegal and they don't care. Makes me breathe a bit easier with colored fogs..

I’d recommend one from rexing. I’ve had a few different cameras over the years and the rexing ones have been the most reliable and best picture quality by far

I'm trying to find the screenshots.. I'm thinking mini Garmin for the back to keep it hidden. Then I forget which one for the front but it was something around $299 (might not be Garmin) had a parking sensor and like 1440p video, but only a front camera.

    I had a v1 gen 3 and a v3

the v1p will do front and rear

there’s quite a few to choose from.

I had one of the earlier garmin 30s and the battery wouldn’t hold the 30 second charge after less than a year. The rexing cameras use a capacitor which seems to work a lot better.

currently I’ve got a kenwood one that interfaces with the headunit in my truck

Hm I've picked up the mirror USB plug to get rid of some wires. So the rexing could charge off the mirror when driving then save a charge for awhile parked? I debated a hardwire to the battery but I don't like dead batteries.. how's the angle/video quality and parking sensor?

Thinkware is one that seemed good based of someone's "my truck was damaged by two drunk girls fighting and caught on dash cam" style title.

It records for like 30-60 seconds after you shut off ignition then it stops recording

they have a smart wire kit you can get which will keep the camera active for 24 hours after ignition shut off. It has a low voltage shutoff so it’ll kill the camera before the battery in the truck gets too low.

the v3 is what I used the smart wire with so I had external (front) and interior video

So looking into it the blackvue dr900s-2ch is the one I was most interested in. Yeah it's around $600 but I've had over 3 incidents where I've gotten out of being at fault and money has been involved.

I also have had a few incidents of idiots trying to start fights or a kid by the high school deciding to jump in front of me as a joke at the last second and I got real close to him. That video went straight to the cops..

But that low voltage sensor is definitely something I'll have to look at! I also need to clean up my wiring and fuses lol.. it's a mess
