Hmm...the amount of rust on those things tells me they've been on for quite some time?

Get some OEM lbjs, or at the very least 555

After it’s done being a commuter car this is the plan. Drop it on like a Blazer frame or something.

It's your fault for not inspecting it :jerkoff:
I kid I kid, plenty here would have you believe the inferior aftermarket LBJs aren't inferior after all, but they are of inferior quality compared to the OEM part. The rusty part sucks but worse, it's the actual quality and design of the inside(or lack thereof) that makes the aftermarket ones junk. There is a member here who has cut these ball joints and the OEM and others in half to see these internal differences. It's easily visible and apparent why the cheap ones suck.
Either way glad the lesson was learned without the LBJ failing on you and leaving a huge repair bill and tow:D

It's worth noting that a ton of parts, quality or not, come bare metal nowadays instead of paint/powder coated :(

Yeah the rusty outside of it sucks, but the failure of our LBJs happens due to internal problems. Or is it the rust on the aftermarket ones that causes the stud to snap or that ridge/lip to fail? I dunno
Either way, just confirming for our homie here what he found on his own, thankfully before the joint actually failed.
