New, heavier duty leaf springs?

    I tow a trailer frequently with my 2015 2.7 5sp. After close to 6 years I am noticing my springs sag a bit more than they used to. My truck is stock and I don’t want to add much, if any, lift. I would just like a heavier duty spring than stock that isn’t as weak as OEM.
    Anyone have any recommendation?

    Get the recall spring pack then add an airbag system for when you load it down or haul a trailer. Your other choice will be calling Alcan, Deaver, or other spring manuf. and ordering a custom spring set up. The custom spring route your ride quality will likely suffer.

    Were the 15’s eligible for the new springs? I thought they had them. I will check into that.

    Go to a spring shop and have the springs re curved and have another one added. I had two springs added to mine.

    I have Sumo springs on my 15 OR and tow a 4200# camper with no rear end sag. A WD hitch helps too.

    + 1 on Sumo. Already had the Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS) on before the leaf spring recall and then reinstalled afterwards. I have a Leer fiberglass cap, 200+ lbs and either pull a trailer with dirt bikes or use a hitch carrier with one dirt bike, plus my riding and camping gear. Even with the new springs I thought my truck had too much rear end sag. So I also added the blue Sumo Springs (SS) shortly after the recall. IMO the SS really complimented the RAS and helped out a great deal in almost completly eliminating rear end sag to 1" or less

    If your springs are shot you should do what @Steadfast suggested as well.

    I tried Timbrens, but recently added Air Lift air bags. As it turns out, they're a much better solution for me. The problem I had with stiffer (higher spring rate) leaf springs is that I didn't want the truck to ride like a floor jack all the time. The air bags are fully adjustable and ride quite nicely loaded or not.

    I am looking at both airbags and the Sumos. I like the fact that the Sumos have nothing to leak or maintain. The installation looks like it is very easy too.

    I put the Timbrens (very similar to Sumo springs) in my truck when it was new. My thought was that they'd prevent the rear suspension from cycling so far when I had a load in the bed or towing my trailer. It worked for 5 years, then my rear springs got tired and I started hitting the Timbrens on about every bump. That's a pretty good thud if you haven't experienced it. So I added the air bags in addition to the Timbrens. Now, I can prevent hitting the Timbrens with only 9 PSI in the bags and the rear of the truck isn't way up in the air either.

    If I had it to do all over again, I think I'd add the air bags right away and just run them with very little pressure in them.
