If you don’t mind me asking, how much is everyone paying for their caps? Emailed my local dealer for a quote on a leer 100R and 100XR.

IMG_1605.jpg If you are camping in your truck bed with a shell, the Leer 180 is the way to go, gives you way more sit up room to get dressed, etc. I started with a cab hi and went to a 180, doesn't hurt mpg either.

This looks really nice! We ended up pulling the trigger on the 100XR today as well and wanted sliding windoors, but were told the sliding windoors are not available for the Tacoma shortbeds. We don't believe that's accurate. Just confirming your Tacoma is a shortbed, correct? Thx!

How much are you guys paying for your 100xr’s? I’m getting quoted around $4000 plus tax which I find absurd!

Today we paid around $2,500 before tax for the 100XR with a few add-ons. The base price was $1,930. Yikes!!

Yes, mine is a short bed and they can absolutely do sliding windoors. Good choice on the 100XR!

Mine was $3500 with just about all the options. That was their "cash discount" price. I also ended up getting $100 store credit because of a couple nicks in the paint they had to touch up.

I have an A.R.E. with windoors on a 2018 DCSB. It has been exceptional. I have the roof tracks and mounted rhino aero cross bars.

We knew that didn't make sense so I called them back on it and thankfully they were able to figure it out. Now let's just hope it arrives with the sliding windoors. Yeah, I'm really excited to get it. It took long enough to make a decision! Thanks again!

Love the look. How much lift do you have and what tire size? Reason is it looks like you’re in a parkade. Fits ok with the cap?

I paid $2200 for my 100xr. Carpet headliner, dome light, fold down front slider, Thule tracks, and vented windoors both sides.

I don't know much about the toppers either and have been researching as well, not a lot of info on the internet for what I'm trying to accomplish per below. For some of you who have these setup, how do the shells in general hold up to:

    1. Off-Roading (lots of mountains and desert driving over large rocks, deep ruts and frequent off camber).
    2. Stability against high winds if sleeping inside the topper like some of you have setup. I have a RTT and did a couple of days in the desert by Barstow with 40+ MPH (if not more) winds. The RTT held up fine but there was no way I was going to sleep with all that flapping noise of the tent, so had to cramp inside the cab. i'm assuming sleeping inside the topper would be much more stable due to the hard surfaces and has the same feel as if you are inside the truck?

shell1.jpg Go with the rebel if you plan to carry weight on it like an RTT.

    1. properly mounted, my A.R.E. has been solid off-roading. It does add weight in the back and changes the truck's stance. 2. I've slept in mine in winter winds-very comfortable. Get sliding windoors so you can vent condensation. (I've been considering adding a roof hatch)

Thanks. I’m not sure exactly how much lift I have. I didn’t take before and after measurements. The front is probably 2” or so, the back is an 1.5” add a leaf. Tires are 285 70 17. It definitely settled some with the addition of cap, rack, bed mat, and tools. That particular garage has a pretty high clearance, so it fits fine.
