Did my 20K oil change and cleaned it up inside and out. Changed out the plastic filter housing to the aluminum one. As lot lot of people have mention, the dealer installed the plastic one on so tight I thought it was going to break before it came off. I'd go confront them about it, but for one thing it wouldn't do any good and would be a waste of time, and for another, they might sic the gorilla that installed it on me and I'm pretty sure if he got a hold of me I'd be done for with that kind of strength.

Installed the OEM roof rack today. Got it second hand from a TW user. Shout out to @jnolan122 for the expert packaging and great deal on this slightly used roof rack.

Agreed. I don’t have much use for loading multiple items on a regular basis. I’ll mainly use this rack a few times a year for my paddle boards and that’s about it.

Hi, Tacomaworld. For those who have done suspension upgrades, what’s a good/proper way to get rid of your stock suspension? Did you sell them, take them to some recycling place, take them to a junkyard, donate them, or just leave them by the curb and call for bulk item pick up? The picture is of the stock suspension on a 2017 Tacoma Off Road with about 45K miles on them. Mostly street/hwy use, with possibly 3-4K miles on dirt, dust, rocks, mud and snow when off-roading. Not familiar with the useful life of the shocks and springs. I’m guessing that the shocks could be rebuilt/refurbished & reused. However, I’m not sure on that.DA05C42A-C017-4937-AF1C-38C60BCF21D0.jpg

Installed The Taco Garage Dashtop Single Mount, DSM. Super easy install. Very solid mount. I combined the DSM with the Slim fit phone grip. Shout out to @FreshMexicanTaco.

Had some fun with a $5 can of white Plasti-Dip. Dipped my trim pieces around thscreen and the trim piece that sits just behind/left of the steering wheel. I’m not planning on dipping the steering wheel trim or console trim pieces any time soon.

Just went ahead and ordered the bundle from Costco. I’ll post a follow up when it gets here. I’ll be using it for hunting as well.

Went off road today at Uwharrie National Forest, here in NC. Wife and son had never been and I didn't really want to give it all to my new truck, so we picked a trail rated as easy. #89. Well, it wasn't that easy. It was fun though and we got the truck a little dirty.

Beginning to think I enjoy washing it as much if not more than getting it dirty.
