Mine was intermittent, felt through pedal. Or on and off, however you want to describe it. But it was consistent, going away with 4wd

Take er back and get another. I kinda wonder if they dont have diffs out there with the old needle bearing in them. Mines been good for like 2 years or something, but they just did the needle bearing on mine, not whole diff.

Got my truck back today. Can’t hear the noise anymore. Hopefully it stays that way . Was fully covered under warranty though so that’s cool.

I just dropped my truck off at my local dealership and mentioned the TSB. Waiting for a call back with a diagnosis to confirm everything I explained. Hopefully they’ll take care of it instead of coming up with some bull on what else it might be. Tech at the service counter didn’t want to have anyone ride with me to confirm what I was experiencing before taking my vehicle in... I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Update: these guys tried to tell me it was my new AT tires. I’ve been having this problem for over a month now and barely got new tires a week ago. They want me to bring my truck back in with the stock wheels and tires and test drive it again to see if the vibes/grinding continues to make sure it’s not just my tires. I told them it makes no sense as I already had the problem beforehand on stock tires and wheels and that the grinding is the same despite my driving speed accelerating or decelerating. Waiting for a response over the phone.

Does it go away when you put it in 4wd? If it does, tell them they are full of shit. Make them ride with them and say, see that, feel that? Now put it in 4wd, went away huh? Putting it in 4wd doesnt transform your tires into highway tires, lol. Thats all i had to do and was running duratracs at the time.

I ended up taking the mechanic for a drive yesterday and showed him the same thing. He got quiet and dumbfounded and said “well you have aftermarket suspension, wheels, and tires. I’m going to have to talk to my manager and see if this would even be covered because you’ve altered the car.” Bullshit. “Manager left early today, we’ll have to have him call you tomorrow.” Still waiting...

Dealership still hasn’t called after I’ve made attempts to speak to the service manager by calling directly and asking. Tomorrow I’ll be going to a different dealership.

I would too, or call Toyota. I had 5100's on mine at the time, so it was lifted a little under 2" in the front. Its a known issue. Did you give them the tsb #? Is this the dealership you bought the truck from?

I told that dealership that they were full of shit and kept beating around the bush, and yes, I gave them the TSB first thing. Took my truck to another dealership on Wednesday and they diagnosed and confirmed it was in fact the cyclical grinding of the bad bushing and replaced it yesterday after ordering me the part. I won’t be going back to the other dealership anymore

My truck is still making the noise after they replaced the rear differential. I'm taking it back in tomorrow morning.

They claimed it was coming from the rear when I initially took it in. I questioned it, but they insisted.

What recourse do I have if I go to the dealership with the TSB to fix my vibration and they say I modified my truck with lift (5100 bilstein and OME 887) so it's not covered?

The problem with the needle bearing being out of spec is there though. Is Redline a thicker less viscous brand?
