I offered Tyler to show him how to shoot, etc.

    He wasn't that interested?

So I have a moral dilemma going on here.

Buyer lives in Florida. I was asking $3k for the bike.

We brokered a deal for $2250 since he needs to arrange to have it shipped from Tucson to Florida. Originally he offered $2500 but found out his regular shipper didn't come to Tucson and other shippers would be $750. I said I'm cool with $2250 since he has to have it shipped. He paid me via Venmo, done deal. I went thru my spare parts, sent him a ton of pictures of the bike and the parts. Everything was cool.

We finished talking at 1:55pm today and I told him to call or text me tomorrow sometime and we could do a video call and I'd walk him thru the bike and fire it up for him.

I get this message from him at 6:56pm:
Now I've already transferred the funds to my bank and I was on a date, so I haven't responded yet. But I'm seriously thinking WTF??? You don't want to be a toolbag but that's exactly what you are doing dude!

Looking for opinions on this. Do I tell him to fuck off, let me know when the shipper is going to be here and get on with it or refund him the money, which will probably cost me, even thru Venmo.

Honest opinions here please. I don't want to be a dick but WTF, this is not cool.

I have a local guy that was interested in the bike, was supposed to come see it tomorrow (Sunday) but I told him it sold after the above deal was done. I have messaged him to see if he still wants to see it since there appears to be an issue with the first buyer. If the local guy makes a deal, then I'd totally refund the money to the first dude.

You know, that I know, that you're a stand up guy and won't tell him to fuck off, when's the shipper getting here lol you're like me, the type that will settle on something via a simple handshake.

I'd ask him to make up the fees of whatever it'd cost to transfer money to him.

He'd only be out the fees, and not the price of the bike himself considering any non standup seller would just flake.

Sucks you had to tell other potential buyers the bike was already sold, but at least you can start back up at your asking price again.

Well tonight I accidentally rolled over my buddy's dog's leg today in the flatbed. He's buying an F-350 tomorrow and needed to get some cash from the shop his family owns. So I offered to drive him since I did a driveway alignment on the flatbed earlier. Just figured it was a good time to be on the highway late at night vs traffic in the day.

He opened the gate when we got there and I asked "hey is Caesar fine with cars?" as I saw Caesar chilling over on my right sitting down. My buddy said "yeah he's fine" but I guess Caesar could smell the dead hogs, deer, and whatever else is on my truck and went over to investigate. So just as I rolled forward I saw him dart under my driver side tire. I braked and didn't clutch in so the truck died and I rolled over his leg. Because otherwise I'm pretty sure the truck would've stopped on top of the poor guy. I feel absolutely terrible about it. Caesar yelped and went over to my buddy and fell down. :(

To make matters worse this poor dog got shot by someone when he wandered off onto another shop's property in this industrial side of town. Dog wouldn't hurt a fly and had a collar on so whoever did it is a real pos. So he had that leg amputated and literally just got used to hopping around on three legs in April. If we took him to a 24/7 vet they would've put him down. After a while Caesar started wagging his tail as I sat with him, then jumped up and ran over to meet my buddy, once he got his cash from the building. We fed him a pain killer and antibiotic from his gunshot wounds earlier this year. Had to shove it in a slice of Pizza since this is the only dog I've seen that hates peanut butter. Then locked him up in his kennel even though he normally wanders the property of the shop. Figured not moving around would be good for him right now. Hopefully he's bruised, scraped up, and hurting. But can pull through and live a while longer.

Had to write this out since it's 2:30am and I literally can't sleep over it. Sorry about this wall of text.

Dogs are amazing....we don't deserve them.

I know what happened was a complete accident; just saying.

Yeah, I'd never screw him out of the funds, I'm just pissed the guy doesn't seem to stand by his word now. He seemed cool at the start until I got that message. I was completely truthfull with the guy about having another buyer coming to see it Sunday but that it wasn't setup yet. And what I had parts wise and all the other shit. I was working with him since I know it's a PITA to ship like that.

Hopefully I hear back from the local guy tomorrow. I'll refund the first dudes money then too. It was $10 to instant transfer the funds from Venmo to my bank. Dunno if it will cost anything to transfer them back to the guy.

I'd do what @Kwikvette said. Ask for him to cover transfer fees. Then refund. But I'd have a hard time refunding if I didn't make a deal with the local guy. The used car/bike market is weird right now and that guy shouldn't have bought the bike if he wasn't sure about it yet.

My thoughts exactly. He bought a bike, why keep looking around and screw the seller of the bike he just bought over like that??
