Is anyone running or has run this setup? I'm getting an OME 2" lift in a week. My 265/75r16 KO2's will need replaced by the end of summer. I have had zero issues with them rubbing on stock suspension. I'm not sure I want to get the same tires again though

I wanted to see if anyone has run this setup and if they had any issues with rubbing. I'm fairly committed to getting the Duratraxs for multiple reasons, biggest one is weight. And it looks like all other AT or MT or Hybrid tires are heavier than the KO2. I don't want to do a CMC either.

    KO2 265/75/r16 ( )
    Diameter: 31.6
    Width: 10.5
    Weight: 53.6

    KO2 285/75/r16 ( )
    Diameter: 32.8
    Width: 11.3
    Weight: 58.6

    Duratrax 285/75/r16 ( )
    Diameter: 33.1
    Width: 11.3
    Weight: 54

Thanks in advance for any help. I have search TW and Google, but I want able to find anything that would help.

You on stock off-road wheels? If you are you could do 285/75/16 but you will need spidertrax 1.25”’hub centric spacers to clear control arm. Also you will probably need cmc just my 2cents. Good luck

The 265’s will still look good in my opinion on a 2” lift. I would keep tire size. That’s up to you.

May not apply but thought I would let you know, I have a 2” lift running 285/70R17’s with no rub anywhere. Bought it this way from Toyota and they didn’t have to chop anything...

Your the exception and not the norm.

Also, if you go on dirt at all I bet it'll rub

Off-roading a little flex I’m sure you will rub

No rubbing all day long on moderate-difficult rated trails.

    Build thread coming soon.
Looks like front sway bar is still connected in that picture. With good alignment and sway bar, I didn't rub when wheeling with 285/75/16's and a 3" lift. When I took the sway bar off whole different story, fronts would then have full travel and rub bad. Hello cmc and fender liner trimming.

I don’t doubt it but if I can do moderate trails like this that are fun with the sway bar connected and don’t rub then I guess I don’t have to ever disconnect it...not looking to trash my $50,000 truck just yet.......at least until I am past the break-in period!!

    Happy for you.

Still not the norm. A hard cut and reverse normally reveals the rub, and a good stuff with the wheel cut.

Thanks for that. I will try that today and see if it rubs! I asked the dealer when I bought it if it will rub and he assured me they do this “Spec 1“ build all the time and it won’t rub. I know I overpaid for the convenience of not dealing with it but also everything they did is warrantied so piece of mind there I guess.

Definitely with the warranty. I did same thing worked in the lifted package with warranty.

A lift doesn't void the warranty of the truck

Also, the suspension parts you bought on the lift are most likely not going to be covered if they break.

In my service package writer put in for lift coverage. Whatever that means. Not worried at all.

Right. My point was more that if you have a shock leak or rip a cv boot, they're not going to cover it. Which is about the same coverage you'll get with aftermarket suspension.

Term you'll hear is "normal operating conditions".

    Just one of those things.

Regardless, I'm sure your lift is fine and hope you're enjoying the heck out of it.
