I just recently joined TW and a prompt from the site suggested I should introduce myself in the new members area. So, I thought I would take advantage of the opportunity to ask a stupid question. My 04 original paint was fairly decent, but I wanted to do something different based on great grandfathers shop, so I repainted it (backyard hack style) but am wondering now if it was a mistake should I decide to sell the truck because of it’s somewhat personalized nature and given that a buyer would not want the expense of repainting it. Anyway, I have attached some pics (before & after), not sure I’m doing this right. Would appreciate any comments on the subject.

Oh and I’m Canadian, you can call me Micky

Looks good, but ya going to limit your buyers. Good news, it’s a taco and is worth keeping.

Paint job doesn’t look bad and it doesn’t look junk. However you’re more than likely stuck with the truck for the remainder of its life. I doubt anyone will want to purchase that unless it was for a steal.

Too late to ask if its the right thing to do, since its done.

    Enjoy it.

Don't do anything illegal with it though. Its easy to ID.

And yea, you limited potential buyers about 80%. Unless you have a pile 'o cousins who loved great gpa's shop too!
