Yea 5.29s, and I was really getting after it on the trail the other weekend. Was staying in throttle when it started hopping on some technical obstacles. The front locker should help with the hop and hopefully save my gears in the future.

Thank you for your words, Robert. I am sorry for your loss, as well. There is no easy way around it, it sucks. Where in OC are you? I have family in Huntington, Laguna, and Irvine. God Bless.

I got to check this place off the bucket list. The truck was a champ on the 6hr drive from SoCal to Utah. It definitely needs more power for inclines though lol

Very nice! In my home state and I still need to get down there some day.

And let’s get you a supercharger to shorten that trip for next time :boink:

So just noticed that one of my Baja springs is broken :(

Can someone please recommend replacements? I know they are 650lbs. Don't need fancy or identical springs, just whatever is cheap and works best. The one beef I have with the stock springs is how quickly the red paint rusted off.

I'm in Canada if that makes a difference?

    Thanks for the help :)

    Jay

You can fit any coil over springs on the stock shocks.

Next time spray them with a few coats of clear spray paint. It’ll help.

Damn man, I remember you putting on the Baja suspension on your DCLB late 2012 or early 2013 in that Because Baja thread! Good seeing you’re still around!

Wow man, good memory! I haven't been on here at all in the past five years because I'm just a old man now (39) with two kids and a desk job. Still love the forum though!

You guys, I gotta say: I love my truck.
Every now and then I think “what if I sell it and get something else?” But I can’t think of any other all-round daily driver I’d like more. This thing does it all and does it well. That’s all.

Thanks man, I was strongly admiring the Baja edition at the time and remember you were one of the few to pull some strings on scoring a set! Damn, five years ago huh. I wish I could go back that long ago and re-consider a lot of the decisions I made between that time lol! I’m not that far behind you in age and I’m definitely feeling every year haha.

Anyways, back to your question. I found from an old thread that the TRD coils are 3”x14” so you oughta find something equivalent. They’re made by Eibach which a local member informed me makes a lot of the other coils on the market such as King, Icon, etc. Good luck!
