Hey man Nice looking truck. A couple questions for you though. What settings are your 5100s on in the front? and also do you have any lift in the rear?

I haven't taken any pics of the final lift yet just a few I'm getting ready to put up.

I have a friend who used to race stockcars at Cajon Speedway (he actually raced against Jimmy Johnson before Johnson went Pro-NASCAR )

Anyway he has a ton of buildable leaf springs so I'm picking thru his bone yard to fing the right length & springrate, I'm keeping the stock main leaf (the one w/eyeletts) & building off it... will post pics tomorrow..

Ya know what Josh ? After everytime I cut on that plastic fecal matter Toyota called a bumper, I'd pretty much ask myself the same thing & since this is totally at my whim, without any detail sheet, schematics, blueprints, etc;. Just a couple pairs of GOOD tinsnips (or aviation snips)
Lefts & Rights respectively, a good sharpie & a combo square

So I guess I really can't answer that one yet ( I better soon though, I'm damned near out of bumper..:D:D

Pic this morning , I don't think it looks that bad

Those pictures where what I was looking for. Just to get an idea of how high the front would look at 2.5 with the back at stock hight. I am also very interested to hear the results of your leaf spring build so keep us posted. Also do you have the 5100s or 5125s in the back?

Will do Kyle, Just for further reference the Bilstein 5100 series covers all shock applications as far as front & rear apps. The 5100 is the front ride height adjustable shock/strut/coil over etc; & the 5125's are of course for the rear app.....The leaf pack probably won't happen till the first of the week, I'm going to a trail run in the desert on Sat, poss. sunday too...

on a side note : Theres a slight rake to it , the new leaf springs will level things out..

Im no expert but Im pretty sure that the bilstien 5100 rear shock is a completely different shock then the 5125. The reason I know this is because after I ordered my set of 4 5100s from DSM, a tech guy called me to make sure I was lifting my back end because with zero lift in the back end and under flex the 5100s could bottom out. So me being dumb decieded to change me order to 5125s for the rear so I wouldnt have a possible bottoming out problem, but then just sent them back to get the 5100s so I could lift my rear end, which your are unable to do with the stock height 5125s( I am somewhat indecisive when it comes to spending money). From how I understand it the 5100s rear shock allows from 0"to 3" of lift but DSM only recomends them if you have at Least 1" of lift. 5125s on the other hand can be costum ordered for specific travel legths as well as stock ride hight. Someone let me know if im wrong.
