Do you guys have any suggestions for a local store to get Taco off road parts(ie Rock sliders)? Every store I find online is on the other side of the country so shipping adds like $200+. The only place Ive seen local is 4wp and they dont really have any selection for rocksliders for 3rd gens.

 

The only thing kind of local is Mobtown in MD.

Personally I'd get the 4xinnovations weld on set and get a shop to burn them on. @Arcticelf may be a potential solution but I don't want for speak for him.

 

4xinnovations seems like a really good deal. Have you used them before? $275 for weld on sliders seems to good to be true. Especially since I have a buddy that would be willing to weld them on for me

 

For weld-on sliders I can install them, and I also have a bender to make them however you want.

I'm always happy to burn on parts for folks, and I'll second Mobtown for bolt on sliders and armor.

 

Not sure where you are, but I've had really good luck working with @Skell at KORE 4x4. Great fabricator with a professional shop set up near Milton, pa

Thats really cool. How much do you charge and where are you located?

I am on the west side of PA in Johnstown. Ill take a look at KORE, Milton is about two and a half hours away which isn't terrible. Pretty much have to travel for anything in my area anyway.

 

You got lucky. A really experienced deer would have wrecked your whole front end. This sucks. Glad you're OK.

 

At the shop right now getting my truck alignment hopefully these assholes can get it right. They gave me some nonsense about my wheels. But they've had it in the booth for the last 20mins. Keeping my fingers crossed

 

I have had them on my truck for almost the entire time I’ve owned it (10 years now)

They actually came off with a sawsall and were re-welded on after I had the frame replaced. I also lengthened them and plated them with @6 gearT444E

 

I'm in Chester PA, so it would be a ride down here. KORE also makes great stuff.

Typically 400 to 500 for built+installed sliders, depends on exactly what you want. Everything I make is one-off custom, so you can have more or less whatever design you want.

 

I'm also on the western side. Tony is great, but a full service shop, so it's hard to get a hold of him on here sometimes. Look up the website and call the shop directly. Top notch work, you won't be disappointed.

Just out of curiosity, what are those other two axles from?

 

they are out of an 85 pickup, for sale if ya want em.

 

came off an 87 4runner, but should fit any 84-89 4runner and 84-88 pickup

Are they maintenance free? I have been looking at Dobinson lately.

 

Gotta grease them on occasion.

 

How often? How do you grease them? I see that Dobinsons' UCAs is maintenance free.
