I was curious also because i see that you still have your front mudflaps. Are you running the constant rear leafs. Did you have any drive train vibration you had to adjust out.

Got the stage 2 kit installed. Initial thoughts are the ride is better than factory. The truck feels planted. Still waiting for it to settle and may want to raise the front a little more. It has quite a bit of rake and the bed has 300lbs in it right now.
Looking forward to getting miles on the suspension and seeing how they do off road.

How did/do you like the UCAs that came with the kit? It looks like those might be the ones you have on. Any issues with the alignment? This is one thing I’m debating, we’ll really which of 3 sub $2K kits, but I don’t know if SPC UCAs that are adjustable or those that are set at +3 would be better. Planning on 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 initially and maybe one day closer to 34s.

To be honest, I was lazy and paid a shop to do it. They were giving a discount and it ended up be like $400 in labor, it was hard to pass up. They went to a alignment shop with a laser alignment machine. Said everything was good and it appears really good. But I didn’t ask for the sheet.
That is something I am going to ask about. I’d like to get up to a 33” inch tire. 265/70/18 and don’t know I can without cutting.

Amount of rake looks good IMO! Is that the standard rear Ironman leafs or the high-capacity?

    It’s the performance leaf pack.
The photo doesn’t do it justice. But it’s sitting a couple inches higher probably and that’s with 300 lbs in it. But that’s also why I’m letting them settle before I do anything. I’d rather have some rake than dragging the rear on the ground.

    Is the front easily adjustable?

Super thankful to have found this thread. I’m looking at doing the Stage 2 Kit as well. Took it to a local off-road/fab shop and really need new leafs bad, as well as coils and shocks. The guy there was raving about Ironman stuff and said for the price point it can’t be beat. He was recommending the Performance up front and the Constant Load (Heavy Duty) in the back because I have an RTT over the bed cover. My question is if that constant is super stiff or has a huge take when not loaded fully. I dont plan on leaving the RTT on it all the time. And only have a few hundred lbs most of the time. But I like the idea of beefing it up for the capacity someday or to tow a boat or whatever. Thanks for your help!

hey @wcartee, did you get the performance load or constant load for front and back? Truck looks sick man! I’ve got the same size tire on mine and wanting to do this lift ASAP but needing to finalize these little details.

I’ve been trying to track down a few noises and grinding sensations after installing my stage 2 FCP kit.

I had a thunk from the passenger side front when flexing the front. Also had a mild grind coming through the steering wheel when slowing to a stop.

I think I found the problem: passenger side coilover spring rubs on the shock body. Internet says to rotate spring 45-90 degrees. (I bought the kit with the springs pre-installed.)

    Anybody run into this issue?

With the fitted spring perch, I don't think rotating the spring 45 or 90 degrees is an option. I would contact Ironman and likely they'll need to send you a new unit. This same issue happened to another user on the forums IIRC.

@BearWithMe Have you had a chance to install your combo? I am looking at the exact same setup and curious what your thoughts are so far with the Performance up from and the Constant in the rear. Do you fit pretty level? Is it crazy stiff in the back when you're not loaded down heavy?

They’re sending me replacements but are out of stock. 3 weeks. I had also ordered an awning a few weeks ago which was to be available May 31 but that got pushed to mid June. So I’m not holding my breath any thing will be here when I’m told. Rides fine other than some grinding when I stop.

Looking at the coilover more closely, I think the spring bends into the shock body rather than the shock being deviated. Maybe it’s too much preload on the coils? I didn’t adjust anything from the preassembled stuff they sent. I think they were at ~2.5” with a slight adjustment for lean.

That does not really sound good... hopefully they’ll get you the replacement sooner. I’ll need to see what the load rating on those are. This is one of the 3 lifts in my budget. It’ll be a while before I can order, maybe you’ll have it straightened out and I’ll ask if your happy and think it’s was worth the $$.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I had this happen with my first set. Incorrect installation of the coils into the perch was the culprit. This wasn't on the FCPs, but on the traditional IM4x4 shock/coils.

I posted this a few years ago. (Not me, but my coil). This was caused by improper installation of the coil into the perch, and went on until I got a replacement from IM.

Just spent the weekend on some pretty rutted Washington BDR backroads. Suspension worked great. I’m hoping the new set works out.

Stock tires are surprisingly not bad. I want 33”s though.
