California rust?

    2015 TRD Off Road Prerunner
    Last January I bought '15 OR Prerunner. Carfax said it lived in Southern California all its life, though the rear bumper has a Eugene, OR seasonal parking sticker on it. Most of the frame looks pretty good rust-wise but I somehow managed to overlook the rust in the front when I inspected it before buying it. Should I do something about the rust on the front control arms? I've never had a vehicle with much rust on the underside.

    That's just surface rust. No big deal. You can apply Fluid Film as indicated above, but it will by nature wear off quicker in areas like that with high exposure to road spray.
