To add to the confusion, Slick Honey is sometimes called out, which is the same as slickoleum. Even though Sram claims their butter is not the same as slickoleum, they feel damn near identical to me.

Slick Honey was the call out for the Marzocchi / Fox coil I have.

So SRAM says theirs isn’t the same as slickoleum, but then calls it slickoleum. And prints it on their label....interesting....confusion continues.

It's made by Slickoleum. There's a chance it's a slightly different ingredient list, but as others have said they are basically the same. Use interchangeably. Slickoleum is the cheapest option.

I could see the Blur as my next bike, I've been thinking about buying a XC bike for Charlotte, leave the Yeti in Asheville.

I really like it, but don’t have much as far as f/s bike to compare it too. Last f/s bike was a really old rip9. I usually ride hard tails but like to mix it up once in a while.

Like most have already said, I would bet its the exact same and just branding.

My best guess would be that Sram / RS would say to use Sram Butter vs slickoleum/Slick Honey is two fold; 1. keep more $$ coming to them 2.remove any potential for questionable grease so it never comes back on them for warranty claims.

Just ordered an Assegai, interested to see how it compares to the DHF. A little nervous to change things up but I've read good things.

I've been running the aggressor out back as well, but my wife and I both got flats this weekend on it. Anyone have any other rear suggestions or should we continue with the current standard out back?

Curious to hear your thoughts on the Assegai, my buddy runs that up front and likes it.

the Ass Guy is a great front tire if you like rowdy DH grip. Its a prize ribbon winning pig on the uphills though, but it is apologetically a DH tire as admitted by Maxxis.
