The area of the state of Indiana that I live in is currently the subject of a MASSIVE internet project being conducted by Purdue University.



The county I live in specifically is rated the lowest connectivity for the region. R.E.G.I.O.N.



Purdue University is working on some SkyNet type shit where they want every.single.inch of Fayette County connected to the internet for agricultural uses first, but citizen connectivity as well.


I currently pay $70/month for unlimited usage at speeds up to 25mbps.


When you compare that to the the offers and costs just one our west or east of here....it's APPALLING.


If I were in Indy or Cincy, I'd be looking at 1 gig speeds for like, $50-$70.

 

Haha... Appalling. We pay $150 for whatever 4G LTE will give us. Sometimes 1 mbps and other times 20.

Consider yourself lucky

 

And I'm over here in Ohio streaming video on Roku and surfing TW at the same time on 1.5mbps with an almost 3 second ping.
