Went out for a scoot and explored some rural farm towns. It’s good to get out of the city.

My favorite riding is outside the city! Always tell the wife I’m headed to see “my cows”. Ha

That thing is an icon among bikes. It was the only little sport bike for like two riding generations. Yours is super clean, too.

A couple years ago I fell off a ladder and broke a tib-fib. Very long road to walking again, and had to buy a smaller bike for a year or so. The Ninja 300 was an amazing machine. Unbelievably, it got stolen and totaled. The smallest and slowest bike in my stable and it got stolen because it was shiny and new.

It's better to ride a slow bike fast, than to have to ride a fast bike slow. This is where the 250-500cc sizes are amazing.

    Hey, thanks!

I have a feeling that I probably annoy a lot of people in this thread because I’m constantly posting updates and pictures about my progress with the motorcycle, but I can’t help it.

I love this little Ninja and it has been the perfect bike in teaching me what to do (and especially what not to do) as a new rider.

To your point, I am finding the limits of this bike and learning the associated risks, as opposed to approaching the limits on a much faster bike and suddenly finding myself in a very bad situation.

The smaller CC motorcycles will teach instead of punish when a mistake is made.

Agreed lots of fun to be had on the smaller displacement bikes. Glad to hear you're back in the saddle after the fall. What are you riding currently? Post some pics!

This is a job for Turbo Busa with NOS! That was a meme on the sportbike forums but can't find it now. Also I think coffee_brake is a she...but I'm assuming pronouns here lol

Keep on posting! It’s great that you are starting on the 250. The question is once you reach the limits of the ninja what are you getting next?

For every person you annoy, theres another you inspire. What you are doing is taking steps to become the safest rider you can, improve your skill, and stay alive. Better to do it on a small, light bike you can pick up and easily repair if you drop it in the parking lot rather than a big expensive one that you'll cry over.

Keep it up, keep posting your progress.

    Thanks!

I would love to upgrade to a preowned (can’t afford new) CBR600F4i or a CBR600RR.
I just don’t know when I will be ready to make the move. I was thinking next spring or perhaps 2022.
