It’s not necessarily smoking but hot damn, we’ve been watching Anthony Bourdains show so I made a plain fried pork chop sandwich with chili paste on the bread, so simple but soooo gooood. I’ll definitely be making these again. They’d be amazing drunk food but a pita to make when drunk.

Curious to your thoughts. We prefer non smoked to be honest.

I think same recipe sans smoke would be better.

    Great show! That sounds good!

I think a weight to hold em flatter would be good. That and the vortex was small cone up so there wasn't as big as a super heat zone. Next time I'll flip it.

that reminds me I want to do duck soon.

it really is. We’re almost done season 8 and then we’ll probably start at season 1. Season 7 and 8 were online. I have seen a lot of dishes I want to try, have earned a newfound respect for a lot of dishes I sort of knew, and adapted a new bbq philosophy: don’t waste calories on the sides. If I’m going out/making bbq, it’s all about the meats o_O

I’m sorry you’re right. But this time I did not capture pictures. Next time. Which may be tomorrow because they were damn good. I did them shallow fry on a cast iron skillet on the grill. Turned out awesome. I was supposed to smoke the remaining chops but I might keep a couple for another two sandwiches soon.

I'm thinking the GGs right over the vortex. What could possibly go wrong lol.
Mine are cooked on a pellet pooper at 500f.
