TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Ill have to look up the cost. I like the BFG KM3's but they are heavy and pricey. I got a somewhat ok deal on them but if I could get a couple years on them id be happy. I semi DD it but even then they get less than 10k a year on them. the KM3s were my first MT usually run A/T tires. I really like the feel of the Kenda's on @SUMOTNK in every day driving. Felt 10000x's lighter but with everything going on it could be a few things. I had been debating going back to a 285/75/17 or something skinnier but taller. 35/10.5/17 was on top of mind but only had a couple options.

 

Look em yon they’re becoming a very popular tire amongst the rock crawling community. Tire choice and size all depends on use. My truck sees every type of terrain with a little bit of highway in between so I need a very capable tire. The size just makes holes and rocks smaller.

 

That was my intention with the KM3s but trying to find the right balance. Hopefully the S/C solves most of that so once I get that al taken care of I may review tire choice. I have been seeing the Patagonia coming up a lot more the past year. Ideally I want a capable tire that is good across all terrains as much as I can. it will see pavement but the goal is off pavement performance.

20-30 minutes.

 

At least that is from idling. My Bimmer is like that driving.

 

I've gotta differ with you here - I think the late 2nd gens are as good or better than anything out there. My 15 is a beautiful machine.

Honestly if someone gave me twice what it's worth I'd just buy/build another one cause there's nothing else I'd rather have as my daily driver. I love this truck.

For pulling the blower do you need to drain coolant prior or can I pull and set to the side. Will be swapping back to Base S/C injectors so we can get some better baselines with Justin.

Ok thats what I was hoping I could do. Any trick to getting to the tensioner without pulling the fan and shroud? I was thinking from below as I have seen some folks comment but need to remove the skids again.
