Adding carpet to a shell?

I bought this shell back in January for $400. My plan is to dis it up and paint it to match the truck. My question is, has anyone bought a shell without the carpet and added carpet to it? Is it easy to do? What kind of adhesive should I use? I know it’ll get hot back there so I don’t want the adhesive to come off so if anyone has ever done this or has any ideas or pointers please let me know!

Yes, there have been several threads on it. 3M Hi-Strength 90 Spray Adhesive is popular.

Hopefully you got the glass with it otherwise you need to price out parts before you decide if you want to go any further with it. For some reason the manufactures think the windows are gold and typically charge a lot for them- and they're not the same between manufacturers or even models.

 

I removed all the windows so I can prep is for paint

 

Any plans on adding a layer of insulation?

Insulation is a great idea!

I'd be very interested in putting insulation between the shell and headliner on an old 4runner.
