    It worked for me.
    Just don't expect more power.
It makes the gas pedal more responsive. Same power.

I have a 2018 manual and was disappointed of the stock pedal response.

Not using it because I got the OVTune kit instead. But much more expensive.

    I'm thinking on selling mine.

I was going to pull the trigger on this too.
But reading the negatives, I think I’m gonna pass on this.
I’ve read horror stories on reviews just recently about your truck resetting the settings so you basically just wasted $300.

Another I’ve heard ppl losing throttle when on eco.

or randomly have a check engine light.

The deciding factor was when I read Toyota wouldn’t even touch your truck with that being on.
To me $280 just to press on the gas a little more wasn’t worth all these headaches

    Dont bother.

It literally does NOTHING more than alter how much you push down the gas pedal. It can NOT make your truck quicker / more responsive / better gas mileage.

You can literally do the same thing it does for free by altering how you move your foot.

It's good for off-road use actually. Put it in eco mode for technical rock crawling. Put it in sport mode for mobbing in the desert.

I got the competing iDrive controller because it's simpler:

I absolutely love it. Totally stock with 37's and it's quicker than stock in a 0-60.

You can not push further on the go pedal to duplicate it as the ECU controls - i.e. limits - how fast the voltage will be increased to the throttle body. It's very basic amplifier technology as the more you give it the more it will be increased.

I have had no problems with it whatsoever.

Eco mode will lose power - that's why it's called Economy mode - you know to save fuel. Don't like it then change the setting.

And again, you can not duplicate it by pushing further on the go pedal - it's not even close.

Oh yeah, if you're going to take the truck to the dealer you should take the less than 5 minutes and remove the Pedal Commander before you head in.

LOL you have fallen into the snake oil.

The actual ECU of the truck gets an analog input signal from the accelerator pedal, the pedal commander simply manipulates that analog signal to trick the ECU into thinking you are pushing the pedal down further (in sport mode) or less than you are (in eco mode) for a given pedal input.

The actual throttle opening at the throttle body vs accelerator pedal input is defined by a table in the trucks ecu that in no way shape or form can possibly be manipulated by putting the pedal commander inline from the accelerator pedal.

There is no way you make more power, and when you put your foot to the floor, you get max throttle opening almost immediately without a pedal commander.

    I never had any issues.
I left it installed when going to the dealer. I just hid it.
Only comment I got from a service attendant was: Manual trucks are more responsive, why people buy ATs?
In reality, I left the PC in sport+ that day.
Other times I put it in a neutral mode before going to the dealer.

I have one for about a year. It worked as everyone described. It just makes the throttle more responsive. This past week while out on a trip it seemed liked I lost throttle completely and then up to Super+ and back. My check engine light and maintenance required lights both came on. I ended up unplugging and all the problems resolved.

    same exact BS.

About the ONLY situation i could see it being useful is as described above, you want to really dumb down pedal inputs in a crawling situation. Then be able to go back to a normal input on the fly.

Idk, I think you know more about this stuff than I do, however mine is completely stock with 37's and it's quicker than a stock truck with stock tires in 0-60.

The way I understood it is that the ECU is at a preset percentage rate of increase, so if you increase what the ECU gets it will change the rate of increased voltage at the throttle body.

I am a fan of my pedal commander. It makes the truck feel like there is a cable connected to the throttle. I don't have to bury my foot for a response going uphill in sport +3. The Eco mode is the best for off-road! The dampened pedal is where its at!

    @Don77

I have the Sprint Booster, same basic idea. I like it and have had no problems with it. Those who say that it is the equivalent of mashing the foot petal simply have no idea what they are talking about. I can't say if it is worth the money to you, I can only say that I like it and for me it was worth the money. I'd do it again.

Sprint will take it back for a full refund if, within thirty days, you don't find it to your liking.

That's what I figured. Putting any of the horror stories aside, I can't say that this wouldn't make a difference. If you could floor the accelerator in a split second, the throttle plate is only going to open as fast as it's programmed to do from the factory. With any sort of throttle modulator installed, the throttle plate reacts closer in operation to a cable connection (which I still prefer, this is my first DBW vehicle and I'm less than impressed).

So, while this may not give you more horsepower overall, you might be able to shift the curve lower because you're now able to get the throttle plate open faster/sooner and thus lower in the RPM range, no? This is all speculation, I don't have one of these. But the delayed throttle pisses me off every time I drive the truck.

I think this may be one of the items that some people swear by, some think it's junk and makes no difference. That said, if there were a cable conversion for my DBW truck, I'd do that in a heartbeat...
