I stopped by a local parts supplier and stumbled on these Koyo wheel bearing hub assemblies. I'm due for replacements, and was a bit weary after reading posts on fake Koyo hubs. Based on my brief research, these hubs seem to have the tell-tale serial number along the outer ring near attributed to Koyo hubs. However, all of the pictures I have seen on the internet for comparison are for Koyo 4x4 hubs, and not for the 2wd Prerunner. These seem legit but I just wanted to get a second opinion from the experts here :anonymous:.

Obviously anyone can print an ID like that once they catch on to "this is what makes it look legit". There's counterfeit everything, which sucks. Where are you buying it from? You have to be able to trust the source. I trust someone like Napa, and even Auto Zone, to have a legit supply chain.

I am not sure for 2wd, but I know the bearings for my 4Runner had Koyo stamped (not printed) into it.

This is from a no name local auto parts supplier. They sell a variety of parts that include economy to high end products.

The serial numbers look laser etched.
