Anyone else in the Xfinity/Comcast outage? That's out and conveniently, my T-Mobile is out (at least at my apartment). So I'm making a rare office appearance today.

 

Put me down for camping Saturday night... not sure if I'm rolling over there Friday or Saturday yet though.

Also do I need to get a CB installed real quick or is everyone on ham or gmrs?

 

Most of us are running GMRS on our ham radios

 

Any turd gen owners looking for rear bumper skin parts? I just replaced mine and thought I'd ask before trashing. It has chrome ends and without sensors.

What does it look like?

 

Minor cosmetic things like scratches but hardly noticeable.

Damn... You guys have to travel far to go off-roading. I'm interested for a day trip on Saturday, but not to familiar with Flagpole Knob and I don't have a HAM/GMRS set up yet- only CB. I'll have a definitive answer by Thursday.

 

No worries bud. Where are you coming from? And you will be fine without a radio, its mostly for fun bullshitting. If @EatSleepTacos & my plans work out right, I will even have a spare radio.

 

Definitely come! It would be very easy to link up with the group, or drop some coordinates in here if you can't make the meet-up time. And yeah we have to drive far as shit. Moreso for me.

Gotchya. I'm in the Fredericksburg area until I leave for Colorado June 19th now... been itching to get out. I've heard of a cheap HAM handheld radio, but forget of the name... maybe I could try to pick one up before then. I know @boogie3478 has it.

I forget how lucky I am. About 2 hours from where I'm at in Colorado, I can be up on James Peak with my truck- 13,294 ft high. If I do go, I'll meet up with the group in Harrisonburg at 9am.

 

The handheld a bunch of us have are Baofeng radios. A few different models.

 

Any of the baofeng will do. They're about $30 on Amazon.
