    TW,

Ok I know the Answer is AAL.
I have a Billstien 6112/5160 set up coming in and I want a 1-1.5” lift in the rear.

I ordered an Eibach 1” block but I will probably cancel that order. I am shooting for the max 2” in the front. Quiet and Comfort are what I am aiming for. I may haul some light loads now and then but as of now, no boat or camper(Not so distant future).

What type of AAL set up do you reccomend and why?

I want to stay away from grinding/welding and cutting as much as I can... if I can.

    Thanks!

icon 3 leaf or toytec single aal, the 3 leaf aal will ride better but cost a bit more.

I read in another thread that wheelers AAL and Icon are the same... any truth?

what is the difference between progressive, long, and short? (Other than length)

I did the Icon AAL coupled with 5100's for a 2" lift all around. Like it both on and off road.

Save yourself the pain and frustration - check with Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road They have a release for the progressive 3-leaf that does not require cutting, grinding or welding. Trust me - you will be glad with the decision.

FYI - I have the exact set-up as you and the only reason I don't have the HS AAL on my truck as of today is procrastination.

    You have 6112/5160?

What tire size are you running?
    I’ll put my order in!

    yep 6112/5160

Running stock tires - sounds odd but I also have 4.88's. the combination for street, highway and towing (OVTune) is perfect.

I just looking into ordering - done procrastinating - but they are out of stock - I sent Marie at Headstrong a message to let me know when they will be back in stock. hopefully soon. I'd to the same if I were you - that way you will get notice asap.

Check it out - a bunch of guys here using them - brings the rear up 1 to 2 inches and you never need to
worry about sagging when towing or have a heavy load in the bed - simple quick install or removal as well

The RMAS system enhances your OEM suspension without replacing it. Also, each side is adjustable in case you carried something all the time which is mounted on one side only.

that’s only for towing. Helps keep the leaf pack from going into a negative arch when loaded down. personally I’d go with air bags before whatever these things are. Again, both options are for towing or heavy loads in the bed, not what OP is looking for.

I have 3 leaf AAL and like it.

I have a 1.5” block setup I’ll let go for cheap OP :anonymous:

Yes, I have the RMAS system for towing periodically but the initial pre-load of the spring units is set to a modest tension as to "enhance" the OEM suspension and provide approx 1.5-2" of lift in the rear without major modifications and is a perfect DIY solution..

Guilty. Ive been running those for a few years. I like the adjustability of them. If Im about to go on a week long trip with the camp trailer and bed full of gear, ten minutes with a bottle jack and socket wrench eliminates the sag. I like how they ride on my daily commute also.

I have a 2” block already. I don’t really want another block. I’m pushing for the HS AAL. Contacted Marie on here waiting for a reply

I have a Wheelers AAL 1.5”. Ride is stiffer but I’m fine with that. Progressive aal will ride better. Your call

After lots of research and reading it seems that a progressive AAL is the best option. 2” of lift with factory overload left in, 1.5” of lift with overload removed. Removing the overload will offer a better ride but slightly reduce the load carrying capacity. If you plan on hauling/towing you may want to keep overload in. It all depends on your needs.
