Best Windshield Wiper & Any Installation Problems ?

I looked at several windshield wiper threads and still not not find all of the answers. ...

What is the best windshield wiper and was there an issue and/or a problem installing them.

And why do you like them ?

I have a 2009, but I assume that the 2005 to present are all the same.

eh, i've always been a fan of rain-x wipers. like them cause they seem to not give off as many pressure point streaks.

 

Bosch Icon, hands down.

Bosch & RainX are what I saw today that looked pretty good. Any installation problems ?

I notice that I have to replace them every year no matter which brand. But I usually go Anco. I tried the michelins they were pricey and broke with in a month.

as far as installation? nah man, takes 10 seconds.

 

The Michelin wipers are incredible, IMO. I had them on my last vehicle for over a year with no loss in function. Rain X is also very good.

 

Just don't snap the arm back down against the windshield with no blade on it during installation.... it will crack the windshield

 

I honestly haven't found anything yet. I've Valeo, Bosch Icons, Michelin, Anco and every single one of them streaks and doesn't conform to the windshield very well. However, I'm starting to think it's the shitty aftermarket windshield.

I bet you know this the same way I do...

 

I've had the regular rain-x for almost 2 years now. Just about time for new blades though. Streaking a little. But still holding up.

installation problems? they're freaking wipers. they snap right on.

i have used Bosch Icons for my last car for a while. i loved them. some one else must have loved them too, as they were stolen off of that car with the antenna. not kidding. someone stole my wipers AND antenna. i hope what ever car they put them on, they couldn't see well, (as they were on their way out anyhow), and smashed it in the rain while listening to the radio. vindictive, yes, but who the hell does that!?!

need to get a pair for my Taco though. keep putting it off as i am a lazy bastard.

 

Last 3 sets I have bought for 3 different vehicles were all Bosch ICON"s. I don't see any reason to try anything else. They are expensive but for good reason.

 

Rain X's here. Effective, better than the traditional multi-spring designs, inexpensive and easy to find at Wally World.

 

X3 Always have a few extra lying around.

I have the Bosch right now and they work fine. I think I need to replace them due to drag on the windsheild when it is misting out. However they are close to a year old.

 

I've got the Michelins... before I had RainX blades. Both are the new aerodynamic 'blade' design and both chattered badly on the driver's side even when new. I'm not willing to shell out the cost for Ikons just to find they do the same.

Does anyone know if the wiper arm pressure is adjustable on Tacoma's? I seem to remember it used to be on older cars...a little more pressure would cure chatter.

 

I just get the refill blades from Toyota. Every new car I have had the OEM blades seem to last way longer than any aftermarket brand (I have tried em all over the years) so that is the way I am going on the Tacoma. I have also experimented with treatments such as RainX and find that they generally make things worse in the long run. YMMV.....

 

A lot of you guys seem to like the Bosch Icons. How is the service life ? I've heard they don't last too long and are way expensive compared to say Anco. Thanks. Curious George.
