I have a white ‘16 sr5 with the standard silver alloys. Does anybody have these rims with bigger tires on them? I’ve never seen one. Definitely want bigger tires but don’t mind these rims. Just don’t know how it’ll look with them.

I had 265/75/16's on my 2nd gen. Should work fine.

@113tac has an SR5 with standard alloy wheels and 265/75/16 Faulkin Wildpeak tires. Here's a picture of his truck I stole from one of his posts as I have the exact same truck.

@113tac i hope you don't mind me reposting your picture.

    Haha no problem!

265/75/16 is definitely possible with the stock sr5 wheels with no lift. I think the size is perfect for a stock truck.

Hi ! I know this post is getting old, but I wanted the same setup and was wondering if you had any issues considering the 25mm offset of stock wheels on the SR5. The tires look pretty close to the suspension with 245/75/16 and I don,t want any rubbing, but i really dig the 265/75/16 style. Thanks

Wow thanks a lot that was a fast answer ! Have you ever notice if it is close to your upper control arm? Again, if you didn't have any issues I guess it is still far enough. It's just worrying me and I don't want to buy 1000$ of tires and then realize they don't fit lol!

I don’t think it’s too close but I’d have to double check to confirm.

I was wondering if you have any thoughts on the Falken tires? I might go for the exact same ones, especially being 100% sure they fit !

They’re a great tire. I’d buy them again

Hey ! I was about to put my order and pull the trigger on the tires, only thing is, they're 10 plies, and I heard it would be a rough ride with a smaller truck like the Tacoma. Are you using the 10 plies? If yes, how's the ride? It seems like it doesnt exist in the 6 plies version for that size (265/75/16).

    Thanks !

Damn Thanks again I looked up on Falken's website and actually they have the P version which is 4 plies. It makes way more sense. Thats why you gotta double check, even if tire shops tell me that they only make 10 plies. The LT265/75/16 is 10 plies, and most of the shop around me sell those. I will have to dig!

Thanks again ! I really appreciate it.

I put my fairly new set of 265/70 16's from my 01 tundra on the new sr5 tacoma with zero issues. Seems to ride and handle a little better. No change in fuel economy like you'd get running much heavier tires.
