If I'm already a previous customer on 1.05 and I have a tactrix cable that I bought elsewhere do I need to pay full price for VFTuner?

Better yet, if you’re a dongler kinda guy, you might still get the free upgrade if you trade in.

Yeah... I sent in my dongle, placed the order for the trade-in vF Tuner, and nothing yet. I've sent a few emails about it and made a few comments here about it. Keep getting ignored.

@OVTune , question for you. I plan on offering to flash local guys' trucks via vF and I just remembered that at least back in the day, you had two different maps for the AT guys. If I remember correctly? One to flash for motor, one for the trans.

But in the time since then, you've combined the two correct? One file? Or have I misunderstood something?

Right, the AT ECU has a file that is ECU + TCU, and a second file that is solely TCU for certain controls. I no longer the second TCU file since it's not needed for 99% of trucks.

however, I think I posted in here not long ago, we have a massive TCU update for the Tacoma in vF Tuner for Autos coming.
It includes several more transmission controls
    torque converter tuning
    line pressure control
solenoid activation control (pro tuner only, debug for forcing gears)

and the TCU specific tunes will also be available (as an add-on. It costs an additional 4 credits).
    This file controls
Shift control pressures for the solenoid for each gear
    Torque calculations for shift pressure
shift timing and pressure offsets (amount of time vs pressure vs shift)
    Maximum and minimum pressures
    temperature limits
and a whole bunch of stuff for the internals of the transmission itself.

What you guys currently see in vF Tuner is about 5% of the total TCU tuning parameters. All of those parameters will be available as a free update

So would you recommend that I just flash initially with the combined ECU + TCU file and then people that feel that it still isn't right can request the TCU specific map?

So the TCU parameters will be a free update, so what would the additional 4 credits be for then? I was a bit confused.

I believe the ability to mess around with some of the TCU stuff is the update, but the pre-made maps would be similar to the 2.0 final tune packs, they'd be proper finished and buttoned up TCU maps to flash

But idk if that's 4 credits to unlock TCU access and then $390 for the maps themselves, "tune pack style"

So I finally got my ECU type I believe. I am "04B90" on my 2020 6MT. Is there anything available for it yet?

    You were right!

    Yep it's available, full support.

    AT answer:

The TCU only file is a whole second ECU/processor. To unlock access to that is 4 credits.
    It's optional.
No tune packs are provided for it.

So, to unlock access to the TCU only side of the ecu that controls shift pressure, shift timing, pressure offsets, min/max pressure, temp controls, etc, costs 4 additional credits.

To control shifts. Torque converter, unlock, lock, etc, is in the ECU file you already unlocked and cost nothing, it's a free upcoming update.

@OVTune another question. So if I have a local guy with 04B04 who wants to be tuned, I understand that I would need to obtain the credits to unlock that ECU, but for the tune pack? Is the process "add to cart, purchase, email zendesk requesting B04 tune pack"?
