Worth noting that 556 circle 10 mags don't fit in the Haley Strategic D3CRM STANAG or Esstac Kiwi pouches. They might fit in other manufacturer's pouches, but the locking lugs (not sure if that is what they are called) prevent a smooth draw and easy re-indexing.

    3” lift. Sway a ways 2.5 on 285 75 16 and much more
I think the one i have should be fine. my biggest concern is the 7.62x39 mags are long and banana shape giving it a lot of slop when in the chest pouches. the ar mag fit nicely so i think the circle 10 should be around same size as the ar mags.

Welllll I used @scollins the last time because I couldn’t find anyone but I don’t know if he’s still doing transfers. Outside that, I used pantel tactical just because they are pretty close to me.

What I'm saying is they are slightly bigger than AR mags, so they may not fit in pouches that are a snug fit for AR (aka STANAG) mags. But if you can fit normal 7.62x39 mags and its just their curve that bothers you, you should be gtg.

Why use a pistol brace on a proper rifle?

It's all the store had in stock. I'm actually excited to see how it performs with the squishy brace. If it's too squishy, i'll just toss a battlelink on there. Going out on saturday to give her a spin. :D

Sure. I've got a 5.11 that I use as a weighted vest with steel for stair runs and whatnot. Has internal hook & loop so you can adjust ride height to the thoracic and all that jazz.

Retails for $200. I'll dump it for $150.

Anyone know a shop that can beat the price for a S&W M&P22 compact (black with threaded barrel) at PSA? $360 is what PSA wants. Last semi auto I want to get before jumping into getting lever and LH bolt guns.

What’s up guys. Just moved up from San Diego a few months ago. Wanted to share my newest addition I finished up the other day. It’s an 8” 300blk.

8in 300BLK is rad. 8.3in 300BLK was my first SBR and now it is on a pistol lower mounted on a wall in my office :) Pairs well with a Surefire SOCOM 7.62 RC2-MINI as a office defense setup, and as a pistol means not having to unload it to let it ride shotgun in the taco.

@Kidwidataco Bigger rifle platform there are 3 proper answers: SCAR17, KAC SR25, or FAL. I went the SCAR Route, but probably if I were to do it again, I could lean towards an SR25. Again, if only it weren't such a hassle to do transfers and sell and all that shit...

@Nimitz, you looking for plates and a carrier? What's your budget?

In vaguely topical news; anyone here run NVGs?

I don't think he means caliber, I think he just means barrel length. But I'm bored, so let's do this.

-The SCAR offers nothing over the (DI) AR other than the piston system...but companies like PWS already have that in the bag. It's heavier, less modular (despite the modularity selling point from the mid 00s), and you don't get the benefit of endless parts compatibility between manufacturers/spare parts in your field kit. You pay exorbitant amounts of money for an old name engraving.

-The SR25 is a cool factor gun that costs three to four times what the exact same rifle does if it doesn't have KAC stamped on the lower. LWRC and Daniel Defense both make MK12-style 7.62s that will do the exact same thing on the flat range with a Vortex Viper as the SR25 with a Nightforce or Kahles. And if you actually operate on a two way range, just put the NF on there and you're cooking. With the SR25, you pay exorbitant amounts of money for an old name engraving.

-The FAL is old, outdated, and its cool factor mostly comes from weirdos who romanticize an ethno state and its crimes against humanity. It's also heavy, has limited parts availability, and does nothing that more affordable, more reliable, and more available modern firearms don't. You pay exorbitant amounts of money for an old name engraving (or throw money away on a clone that doesn't even have that).

    boom roasted
