How hard is it to install these? Do you have to remove the airbag? Any special tools?

Interested if it’s a plug and play for a 2013.

It’s super easy, takes about 5-10 min. Will depend on your truck if it’s pre wired but I think most are. Basically you pop the side plates off the wheel. Remove 2 T30 bolts, slide the airbag up. Remove your cover plates and install these. Then reverse. I would unplug the battery while working on it. Tacomaholic has a video showing how to remove it.

You could easily take off your airbag and see if you already have the wiring harness.

I have a 2013 and it is for the most part. You do need to wire I believe one wire to ground it so they light up. There are a. Few threads on here but I swapped 2014/2015 controls and main thing was a wire to light up. In terms of radio control. If you have a 2014/2015 radio you will need to buy a connector and run 1 or 2 wires for all the buttons to work. For ore 2014 there are extra buttons that do nothing. I like them way more than the 2013 setup. def a nice swap just needs a few items to fully work. Then grab a. Newer radio or one of the android setups for full button magic. I swapped to an android after the 2014 Nav unit.

hopefully it helps sell. I hated the 2013 Controls but it worked

I’m interested if still available. I’m sure there is other things I’ll need to do to get it working after but I’d like to add these to my 2012 base, looking for an entune Headunit system as well
