Any groups wheeling anytime soon? I want to build more confidence in my driving, but I'd rather not go on these trails alone.

I spent a good hour cleaning up white flowers at spot the other day. F’ing gross. I’m glad I carry nitrile gloves in my kitchen kit.

So many other states have like the 3 or the 6 or minute men or I could go on for days! Where there fuck is the Californian militia? Really? Just sit back and let's this shit happen and destroy or state because they aren't educated enough to stop and think of the consequences of their own actions? Oh fuck that! I'm over these ass holes.

I went out last week for some camping.
Started out by going down near Big Sur area on Monday.

On the way the transmission cooler I added 150 miles previously sprung a leak.
I watched the temp go from 250>270>290>305 in a matter of seconds.
I pulled over and put the hoses back to stock.
Luckily I’d just met up with @theed and family and they were able to go into town and get 6 quarts of transmission fluid. I had a little with me but not nearly enough. Rigged up a funnel and added 3 quarts.

After Big Sur I headed to Bald Mountain area. I kept adding transmission fluid a half quart at a time along the way. In the end it needed 5 quarts. The whole bottom of my truck is coated in transmission fluid.

    First night near Bald Mountain.

I’ve had a few friends move away that gave me their white gas they couldn’t take with them so I converted my propane Coleman to white gas.

Wednesday I drove up 168 to a nice spot with an amazing view of the Kaiser Ridge to the north and Lake Thomas A Edison, Silver Divide and a bunch of 13,000 foot peaks. I’ve gone back packing over there. It was cool seeing from this vantage.
I hiked the upper 3 miles of the Dusy Ershim. It’s closed so no one was around. That trail is gnarly.

Made a grilled cheese for dinner.

After that I rolled over to the other side of 168. I moved about 8 downed trees off the road. The roads were standard uninteresting forest service roads. There were a couple nice views.

I headed back down to Bald Mountain and camped for a few days, met up with THEED again and headed back Sunday.

I'll be heading to Coyote Lake this weekend for the first time to camp and really the first time I get a chance to break in my taco since I got it around SIP took effect. Are there any places to "play" in that area?

Looking to be up in the area (Bowman Lake area) around mid-July. Does anyone have any suggestions of some cool dispersed camping areas with a good view? Possibly somewhere we can use a basecamp and do a little mountain biking, as well as some fishing. Off roading suggestions is of course most definitely welcome! Thanks in advance!

Me and a buddy were going to check that area out this weekend too but it seems like it might get pretty cold at night time.. I have a 1 yr old and don’t want to risk it being too cold for her.. would like to see pics if you go though.
