I honestly thought I’d get made fun of but since everyone else has one I’m getting one haha. I sleep with a fan on year round...sometimes with the window open in the winter haha

My wife keeps two fans on plus the overhead fan. So I can't really sleep without one at this point.

Gonna check reviews but all my current cordless stuff is Rigid so I may be pigeonholed into buying theirs.

So do those fans run off the same batteries as their tools? How long do they last and does that mean you bring the chargers along with you? I was thinking like a 9v fan and a pack of batteries haha

This Dewalt one uses the same 20v battery as the tools. It’ll run for 12 hours on high with a 6 ah battery.

Hm. See I have 4 ah batteries for ryobi but only 2. I don’t think it would last the weekend.

Crap! I've been waiting for a reason to get back to west NC to ride. Wish I would have seen this sooner but I guess there is always next year. I should be better prepared to truck camp by then, too.

Edit: what is the wife/gf situation? Mine rides casually and is kind of an introvert so she probably won't want to go anyway, but thought I'd ask.

Welcome to come if she is ok with 10 guys, no showers, and no real toilet. My wife loves to camp but is staying home as she only rides MTB casually as well, mainly sticks to dumb stuff like this:

Ha! We have quite a bit in common. Mrs GrundleJuice loves camping, like looooooooves it. She also ran a marathon last summer. When she told me she wanted to, I was like, "But, why?" She spent a summer in wrangell-st Elias and another in petrified natl forest, both for research. #ParkRangerLyfe

Planning another bike trip to copper harbor this early Autumn, not sure if it's worth the trek from NC but it's a really good trail system if anyone wants to make the trip.

to be fair, the campsite does have a fairly decent toilet. It's private, and they even provide the sawdust to cover up your fresh pile of shit! :D

They also provided tons of free firewood, so that was a bonus.

So we don't need to bring firewood?

I had already invested into the Ryobi brand when I bought a set of their cordless tools back in 2005. Came with two batteries that I'll have charged up for the weekend. I can't remember if I ever tested the life expectancy of the batteries when I bought it last summer.

I typically pack my propane firepit. Would be glad to set it up for the group. The ability to simply turn it off at the end of the night and not worry about rogue embers was my main objective.

I'd pick up a bag, but I'll bring one too. It's gonna be warm so we will probably just want a small fire for the ambiance.

But it needs to be at least big enough to jump bikes over after a growler of Dales Pale Ale

I feel like I'm going to get shunned from camp and MTB for this...but...

    IPAs are disgusting.
