I dealt with multiple groups of cultured individuals howling between camp sites this weekend well into the night. My dogs were a bit uneasy, but it was more annoying than anything. I took it upon myself to wake up at 0530 the following morning, walk through their dispersed camps and crow like a rooster at the top of my lungs on my way to fish. I'm negative ~50 for new friends this summer.

I had to pack up camp at 1am and drive further into the woods a couple weekends ago up in Wyoming. Dang hippies dancing around the fire to loud space music.

Is all of CO f'd on this front, or it the areas nearby the Front Range? Contemplating a new retirement location.

Just go to less populated places, away from National Parks and easy access.

CO is one of the most visited areas for camping, off-roading, hiking, skiing, etc. So we get a lot of visitors who won't be back to the same area again and they can be more careless than locals who are taking care of their backyard.YMMV. Less well-known areas and those farther from population centers are preferred. I rarely car camp in CO, mostly backpack or moto camp to get away from more folks. Happy to car camp out in the desert where people spread out more.

There honestly needs to be a members only area to discuss camping spots. Something like the old underground. I know there are shitty people without tacomas (and some with tacomas) stalking these threads looking for camping spots. Makes me and I’m sure most of you hesitant to share any good spots.

instagram use has put big pressure on beatiful places. We rescue mostly ill-equipped folks from high alpine lakes and peaks who had never attempted that kind of terrain before, but were trying to recreate a pic they'd seen that included GPS location or name. We use Wilderness resource personnel in non-Wilderness areas to address the crowding and education.

Two times ago south west of Steamboat we where so isolated it was insane. We passed some Peruvian sheep hearders that took us back in time. We where traveling by motorbike. We eventually came out near Rifle leaving from Steamboat. Lots of isolation up there.

    Before the roads got small!

Side by sides are easily the worst thing to happen to wilderness areas in a long time. There must be some unspoken rule that if you own one, you have to drive through every campground around you at least once in the middle of the night, and pass every other vehicle you encounter by driving off trail.

Was on a backpacking trip in the Wind River Range for the eclipse, and we ended up hiking out on a FS road. Could hardly hear the jeeps coming, but could hear the side by sides coming a mile away. Would love to see better mufflers required on them, at the very least.

Ha you should see the location here in fort collins. they used blue 3m painters tape on the side of the building to advertise pizza for take out back in March. In April they closed the doors completely and the place out back grabbed Chuck out of the dumpster to add to their 80s nostalgia museum and mediocre pizza and salad bar. https://www.newsbreak.com/colorado/...llins-restaurant-rescues-chuck-e-cheese-relic

place looks like a solid spot to score a bj and a rock now. right in the middle of town on college... they left early and did not remain throughout the lease.

oh and pasquales is a pizza chain in alabama that had killer calzones. the stromboli was amazing. they became pretty rare in the late 90s and have but a few independent operators now i believe.

Where in Elizabeth are you? I'm a new Elizabethan resident now. More importantly when can I use the shop, it's finished right? :D

I think the side by side rental companies are the ones wrecking it for everyone else - the actual owners who plunk down $10-20k for one plus a trailer and tow rig don't seem to be the problem.

 @YamaDirtrider blow my cover? I’m 3 miles north of the shell gas station off 13. Shop is not quite functional yet but very soon my lift will be operational and you’re more than welcome to put your rig up in the air. What area did you just move to?

Any of you Springs guys know how to order from Rock Auto?
Running into the city sales theft thing.
"We cannot ship to this address because it requires sales tax paid separately to state and city governments. We comply with state-administered taxes nationwide but we do not have the capacity to file city tax returns in places where we have no physical presence."
I feel like I've gotten around this before but I haven't ordered from RockAuto in a good while..

    Trying to order brake parts.

Definitely ordered from RockAuto before and had it shipped to our old apartment that's down the street..

Nah it says under your avatar :p Nice, it'll be sweet to see. I'll have to pick your brain some on your shop build. That's in my near future as well. I'm just under a mile north of the RV Storage place off 21
